I no see a efeckt on the Lifeblood Spear
yea they broke it. also it didnt need to be tweaked it worked just fine
The buff from the Lifeblood spear has been reduced in periodicity - it will now tick every 5 seconds instead of every second. It also will no longer show up in the buff-list, nor will it end on taking damage.
So allow me to see if I understand this correctly. The Lifeblood Spear has just recieved an 80% nerf to its healing rate!? Wow talk about excessive. And this is accompanied by the addition to the nerf on regular Spears which is also going to hurt Singleplayers, and a lot of PvE players too. Yes, I am indeed getting grouchy and frustrated here. This is utterly ridiculous, and I am extremely dissappointed by these decisions.
Peoples, can anyone please do me a kindness and tell me just how big the nerf was on the Spears damage, in numerical values?
This goes back to Funcom releasing stuff OP. If they started with what they set it at now, then they could be tweaking it slightly upwards. Instead, they gave a cheese heal, and now they made it useless comparatively.
On my PvE server with no mods and no adjustment to healing rates, it now works approximately the same as the new “Soothing” perk. Or the “Fierce Vitality” perk from the Vitality stat. Basically 1 point every 1-3 seconds as far as I can tell. considering the patch note was " * The buff from the Lifeblood spear has been reduced in periodicity - it will now tick every 5 seconds instead of every second. It also will no longer show up in the buff-list, nor will it end on taking damage." I cannot help but believe this was some kind of unintentional side effect of the reduction in healing tick. As per the notes the amount of healing should not have changed, only how fast it occurs.
and here we are again; lifespear is now useless. it was normal to have this so unique and very rare weapon op.

This spear is not a sure drop, just like a blacksmith is not a sure drop in a purge.
Nerfing this spear’s healing setting is the same as a named blacksmith thrall you get from a purge, and reducing the legendary repair kit’s effect. Stupid on both accounts, because of how rare they are.
Is there any way we can petition Funcom to revert the spear back to how it was?
I donbt buy the PvP argument - if someone has any kind of DoT on them it wont work.
Being able to fight someone with a lifeblood spear was part of being good at PvP, and if you lost, you lost the spear.
Tested out the spear after the patch and it dose nothing. It even stopped my normal vilality passive heal from working when i tried using it
Health regen is also affected by a server setting. Officials will result different than Private.
How about the base damage rates for regular Spears Rangerman, can you or anyone else tell me just how many damage/hit points they have been reduced by?
PlayerHealthRegenSpeedScale in the serversettings.ini is what ur looking for. Everything that heals you from bugs to Yog meat looks at the scale set there per tick. Itll be there in Solo inside your WindowsNoEditor folder.
(edit: if you dont have a line, its defaulted to 1.0)
I once had a lifeblood spear, I now have the red mother’s toothpick.
If it won’t be fixed, can we at least rename it.
As it is, it’s just false advertising.
While I’m at it, how about “timid vitality” for the 30 point vit perk.
If I were yall Id just drop being on Official servers. Ive been playing this game and running a server for a lil over 2 years now, and all I ever see is complaints abt Officials. Just look at the number of threads on here aimed at them this week alone. The same was true with ARK. Just find a higher-rate Unoff with a decent admin and you’ll never leave, plus you can try out mods til your eyes bleed. At least the Admins of Unoffs handle their business (most of us) and steps have already been made to re-mod the Lifeblood Spear back to “normal” – but youll never know it being on an Official. Just sayin.
@Shadoza all you need to get thralls of value is a t3 fighter with a truncheon. when you make such statements it shows how little you know about the game which makes us ignore the rest of your post. once you get to 60, solo game is perfectly fine as long as you have a thrall with semi descent gear. if they remove the thralls, i would agree with you but solo game as it is now is not hard.
lifeblood spear was problematic in pvp but doesnt offer such a great advantage in PvE. u can heal your thralls with healing arrows just fine and for yourself you have cheap food which is more than sufficient as long as you dont have 5 players running after you to interrupt your heal or loot your body.
i agree that the nerf is extreme but it was too good to be true before that nerf. now we just need a middle ground solution.
Furthermore, you keep saying on every corner how weak and helpless are the solo players. Let me tell you, we are NOT.
