Living Settlements: The Problem and and a Solution

What the living settlements really needs to do is reverse what seems to be the roaming preference of the thralls. I have a large settlement and after observing, testing and disabling interactable items across the base, it seems that thralls will aim for the furthest possible interactable item from their craft station. So you end up with crafters that are almost, never in their crafting locations and instead, very far because that’s where they seem to go by default.

I’ve tested this further by leaving one interactable chair on the far end of the base while their crafting hall was filled with interactable elements including, braziers, fireplaces, chairs, benches, the stations themselves, beds, and more. Each time, thralls would leave the crafting area to seek out this remotely placed chair. That makes very little sense.

I understand the need to make the settlement feel alive by having thralls traverse distances but it’s a bit too much.

So again, a perfect tweak would be to have thralls always interact with the nearest interactable items, not the furthest. This way they can remain close to their workstations and you can create hubs of activity where you want them to be.

Is good idea, i think there is a mod that do more or less that.
