upon using a paring blade to remove a simple weapon damage kit, the bonus stats that were on the weapon from a named blacksmith being in the bench, was also removed
Greetings Darkenix!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Have you attempted to completely uninstall all the mods from your game in order to see if the issue persists?
Many times Mods can be the source of such anomalies in your game.
I confirm his bug. It’s happening on official servers. Takes two minutes to test on your own.
1 Craft weapon with a bladesmith.
2 Apply a damage kit.
3 Apply a pry kits.
Witness that you lost the bonus from the damage kit AND the damage bonus from the bladesmith.
Not that it matters much since the devs made crafted weapons irrelevant in age of war by making legendary the only thing worth using.
I thought that crafted weapons are simply worse now. It never occured to me to check weapon’s stats before upgrading them with grandmaster weapon kit.
EDIT:
I can not confirm this bug. Tried right now with crafting Venom infused daggers with T4 bladesmith in improved blacksmith bench.
Those are the stats before upgrading:
And here after the applying grandmaster dmg kit:
None of the bonuses were lost. Core dmg of the weapon without any blacksmith says 26, so it should be fine like this.
Just and idea: Could not this be a problem of specific blacksmith bench? I used just improved one, not the grandmaster. (garrison nor campaign one)
To be more precise - because at the first levels, while you are still crafting weapons, you are unlikely to have a thrall bladesmith. It is generally very difficult to get him, he appears much later.
To be more precise, over the years designed hundreds of amazing end-game crafted weapons (delving bench weapons, venom-infused, daggon daggers, etc). They made years of work irrelevant in one patch with the crafted gear nerf.
True!
The one thing I really dislike with Siptah weapons is how they lazily handled the recipes…
All of them are Weapon Handle + Eldarium, nothing else
I always say, there is no way you’re crafting that fiend-bone shield without the devolved fiend bone
Then there are some questionable choices like the RNG variable weapons, but that’s just design preference…
