No where in that thread does it say it was by design. Instead, on 2 separate occasions, the official feedback from Funcom is to submit a ticket, which I did.
And it’s clearly a bug. The Ceiling, The Wall and the Foundation are all the same piece. How can that be “by design?”
You do realize the door, grate, and window are cubed, right? If the walls and ceilings weren’t cubed as well they wouldn’t work with it well. It was obviously by design. Trust me, I complained and requested a refund. They told me to basically pound salt.
The whole set is bugged and has a foundation size applied to every piece. If they were normal building pieces, they’d work just like every other wall, foundation, doorframe, window and ceiling in the game and those work fine.
That’s why it’s a bug. It’s a foundation sized ceiling. Clearly the wrong texture is applied to it. If it was a normal ceiling it would work like every other ceiling in the game.
I haven’t seen anyone but players say that it is working as intended. I’ve seen Funcom say pound salt on refunds but no one from Funcom has confirmed that this is not a bug. And I don’t want a refund. I want them to fix the set.
Im almost 100% sure its intended. Its a ceiling, which is simply thicker because thicker walls go with the prison/dungeon cosmetic. A set needs a ceiling obviously. Just because its something that hasn’t existed before is no reason to think its a bug.
But I dont own the set (yet) so I didnt know its behaviour.
If you don’t own the set and haven’t used the set then how can you tell me it is working as intended. You don’t even know how it works. Sure a set needs a ceiling and walls but they don’t need ceilings and walls that are the same size as a foundation. If I wanted a foundation thick wall, I’d use a foundation to build the wall. We don’t need every piece to look like a foundation. That’s asinine, stupid, and honestly if it is intended, just laziness (half of the set is all the same piece if it is intended). It’s easily fixed by making it like every other building set in the game.
You’re clearly misunderstanding the whole concept of the set. We all agree, it’s stupid how they implemented the set, but the textures and everything imply heavily that it’s no mistake. Even the curved walls are proof. How you’re not understanding this is beyond me. If you wanna argue that it’s some sort of mistake, that’s your choice, but it’s pretty obvious it’s intended. No one actually likes the set as it is, so rather than argue it’s a mistake, maybe join the other topic and back everyone else up on why they need to either fix it or refund anyone who got duped into buying it via misleading advertising.
I’m giving the developers the benefit of the doubt that this is not what they intended. If you don’t like the set, why are you arguing with me? I’m actively trying to get it changed. The other thread is just people asking for refunds. I don’t want a refund. I want a functional set.
Were that the case, I’d say the same thing, but I can tell it was completely intentional—as can others trying to explain this to you. To say otherwise is delusional.
Then let someone from Funcom respond to my bug report and say that. You can complain in Feedbacks if you like. As a software engineer, I respond to bug reports before user feedback.
