Lost Dungeon Complete Set Question: Round 2

I agree in that regard. The original preview of the first Lost Dungeon set was so terrible that I had to make a topic about it and attempted to get a refund. They refused and it really ticked me off. They also should have given those of us that bought it under false pretenses a good faith gift or something. None of that happened. While they did admit fault and changed the preview image, it still embittered many people. That being said, compared to how shafted those of us felt on the first set, this newest version is a much better deal, even without the sarcophagus. However, they need to stop doing these false advertisements.

It’s a real shame that this sarcophagus can’t be used as a container to store player bodies in. A missed opportunity for body vaults and inactive players to be stashed away in

Think the Stygian one can, though I’d need to check

That is incorrect. It’s just a decoration.

I bought the Forlorn Crypt building set recently in the Bazaar. I do not have the Forlorn Crypt sarcophagus.

Sarcophagus not included.

@jmk1999 they won’t ever change.
The items sell. No one has the teeth to go after them with any fervor. Posting here doesn’t matter. Complaining to your abuser that you are abused does nothing.
This one knows of only two ways that could impact them.

  1. En Masse, players stop being payers.
  2. Take the complaint to another party that can hit them with some form of sanctions, such as Steam, Sony, Microsoft… But good luck with that… Or, if you are in one of the few jurisdictions that are hostile to caveat emptor clauses, have the legal structure to act, and consider the tiny amounts being moved for their crypto to be sufficient for criminal rather than civil punishment one may appeal to the local government gang.

Never expect something to care about right or wrong or even their own reputation. The only thing that gets results if if you can hurt them. As corporations are not real people, the only way to hurt them is their money.

I have bought all the versions of dungeon set and i didn’t even knew i could fix this thing.
We have soooo many, soooo many, i feel lost in the decoration pieces i can fix now.

Thankyou @Kapoteeni that pretty much summises my thoughs on this matter succinctly.

@jmk1999 in an odd sort of way that would be both a yes and a no from me. The sarcophagus was the item I wanted the most out of the pack. I wanted most of all in order sarcophagus, gargoyle, statue with candles at its base, cage building pieces, everything else. Like Kapoteeni illustrated, we should be getting what we can see pictured. Moreover when it is being called a ā€œcomplete setā€, though even their naming of the pack seems to be consistent across the board.

@LostBrythunian did you buy the complete set or the Forlorn Crypt, and the remaining pieces later?

@thurgond do you mean the Complete Set/Expansion Set (apparently it has 2 different names) during its current rotation, or do you mean you purchased the Forlorn Crypt, i.e.- the older version before it was expanded?

I am honestly not even trying to mock or make fun here, but I cannot understand why players cannot be offered a straight answer or some transparency. Is it really that much to ask know what we are buying does and does not contain!? I got the ā€˜Pencil Mark’ on the thread in my notifications, thus indicating it had been looked at by a CM, but no answer. As far as I can tell the thread was just recategorized as PS4, when I actually play on PS5…

Just over 1 day until the rotation ends as of last night. Still have not brought it yet.

do you know how many times i have asked that it is important for items in the bazaar to please comes with better descriptions?

for instance just to name two.

emotes, they dont say if they work with thralls or not.

items : they do not say if those items have any function or not, can be used by thralls by moving those thralls close to it? or no.

you remember the pillowgate,.,… all oif this avoided if they simply add functional or cosmetic, so buyers are totally aware what they are buying.

but you know what, ? i started to believe the information being vague as a strategy to caught innocent people into buying it,

reason why I DO NOT BUY anything new until i see content creators to answer what funcom fails to say in their description.

It’s also worth noting that the lost dungeon set has worse clipping issues than aesir.
And the fences don’t work, they don’t hinder anyone from climbing your building.

If you’re a talented builder you can work around some of these issues and create nice builds in gothic style.

But it still lacks some basic elements, and the poor quality on top…
Iā€˜m a bit split, building sets are probably the only thing worth buying, on the other hand the functionality and quality just went downhill… just like everything else.

Everyone should be aware of that before he buys that set!

The poetanian knight set was also something i was interested in, but @Eradicati0n ā€˜s review showed how poorly that is as well.
It looks maybe a bit too high advanced in comparison with other gear, but that doesn’t really bother me. FC could easily add enemies or even new camps or other content with equally advanced enemies.

But i won’t buy a 20 bugs set hoping FC fixes it ā€œat some pointā€ā€¦ if even.
They did it with the pillows but what’s the point in buying something broken for a broken game?

Only the ā€œcompleteā€ set.
This one learned a lesson from the Aesir set…
Or so this one thought.
Jokes on this one tho, the ā€œcompleteā€ set isn’t exactly complete.

Strictly speaking, it does not contain the lights either, but there are lights in the picture.

I would not be that petty into arguing the picture should only feature what it contains, because honestly, it doesnt really ā€œdeceiveā€ anyone.

If you are not being disingenuous to promote an ā€œagendaā€, you can understand by that picture that the picture built up there is an example for one to see how it can be built, but the things contained in the product are the ones listed in the boxes below, and detailed in the right side panel.

It doesnt really seem like a reason to claim all those garbage points people are making about it.

Might cause doubts, I guess, but doesnt really seem to be bad faith in any way. I think it is even nice to see it built in some way to see how the individual pieces get when built.

It would seem like requiring ā€œwrist watch outdoorsā€ to feature people naked so no one thinks the ā€œwrist watchā€ comes with clothes included.

This question should get an answer from Funcom. It’s a valid question. If the item pictured in the product page is not actually included in the product, it would at least be legally questionable. After the tavern seating affair, these things should be avoided.

@Croms_Faithful
Thanks for bring the issue up. It’s a bit sad that Funcom needs to be asked these questions and even reminded to answer them, but well, things are as they are. Good thing you take the effort on you.

Yes, it does deceive. Or if you wish to play on semantics, it certainly misleads, or at the very least generates ambiguity. It was part of a partial set, which is now being marketed as a COMPLETE set. A complete set is a complete set. Period.

So tell me something. Say I went in to purchase a new tent for camping expeditions. The box displayed the tent set up with tent pegs and a detatchable verandah awning. Would you say that 1) it would be logical to assume that the box contained tent pegs and the detatchable awning. 2) in the face of indiscrepancy, it would be more than reasonable to approach customer service and beg the question. People kowtowing and acting as corporate apologists such as this are part of what perpetuates and sustains this sort of behaviour.

My only quote ā€œagendaā€ here is expecting Funcom’s products to contain complete and accurate descriptions and depictions. Yeah I know, how dare we right!? I have defended Funcom on countless issues in the past, and will continue to do so into the future. I will not however defend incomplete or misleading information (deliberate or otherwise) on products, and lax business practices. The only person with a quote ā€œagendaā€ on display here is you; behaving like a sychophant and blindly defending.

Thankyou both kindly @LostBrythunian and @thurgond, I really appreciate you integrity and telling me in this matter.

No nedd to thank me @Khaletohep, I do still try to serve this community to the best of my ability. Though I get the impression I am perceived as more or a liability (or a loose canon) now. You are absolutely right, it is not unreasonable to enlist the aid of customer service for a product inquiry in any reputable business. And businesses have staff members dedicated solely to these roles. Though I do not see anyone aside from members coming to offer assistance at this late stage. Not only does the sale ends in <12 hours, but we have been here before. And moreover, a CM recategorized the thread as ā€˜ps4’, but did not actually respond. In all likelihood this will again be a ā€˜No Sale’ from me. But I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your good sentiment and kind words.
