Make siptah great again

Let’s say you get 5 fragments on average per storm, statistically you will need to do 1182 storms to get a specific recipe (5910 fragments). So yeah, months of grinding.

Absolute, freaking, ball breaking, rng when it comes to these recipes. You’re 100% correct. But i am so happy that we don’t need midnight alchemy anymore, so happy. I can change my attributes all i wish now, omg that was oblivion for me in Siptah.
I remember people creating double and triple accounts just to fight this rng issue.
Yet, like @AndersonKain said my friend migo and his fellow companion warriors, you know the yellow ones that’s slow as malfait have 100% drop of Schematic Fragments. I was twitching it 3 weeks ago and people couldn’t believe how “easy” and pleasant it has become. I am not exaggerating my friend here, it’s the truth.
As truth is, that naked you can do all Siptah alone even if the mobs have 10X damage.

Ofcurce i haven’t tried lvl 10 purge this way, but it’s impossible. On a simple barbaric mode session with everything allowed i lost…

maybe for the map itself, the building pieces, armor pieces, and rhino skins I feel should be paid for.

I get 3 to 4 complete recipes per storm, even right now with them at 15min, and I farm the maelstrom several times a day, now mainly to lvl more thralls.

I have lots of duplicate weapon and armor recipes, just today I got my second ever Bindings of the Dead and I have yet to get the Improved Fishing trap recipe

While the other content was added with Siptah update, one cannot lump “Stormglass Set” or the many things added with the Siptah update at first, like caged thralls you rescue and etc as “Siptah content”, because they can be used on the Exiled Lands.

Those cannot be lumped on what makes “Siptah great”.
Well, it is true that it is a Subjective Matter if Siptah alone is a good map or not, but there is something that is not “subjective”: Purpose.

Take the maps for the levels alone, their design, their systems.

Exiled Lands accomplish what it is meant to accomplish. It does not fail into being what it was designed to be. Its places are congruent with its narrative argument, and its structure nudge players in the correct way, allowing someone to simply “go and explore it”. After a while one can go around the map by its logic without using a map even.

Siptah is not a map that accomplishes what it was made to accomplish. It was meant to change some fundamental aspects of the gameplay. They said Siptah was a new way of playing CE, and it might “arguably” be a mere change of scenery and a paid cosmetic improvement of the environment and post effects, but not a “new way of playing CE”. If one says it is “just the same as the Exiled Lands but prettier”, it already fails if that is true.

But Siptah is not “just like the Exiled Lands”. There are many settlements in Siptah. Is there a “multiple pasts” tale with very specific hints and “arcs” you can explore on each one ? Or conveniently, everyone is looking for the same thing the same way ? Do you have different “dungeons” and “adventures”, or the vaults are essentially “copies of the Dregs” made look prettier, with a Cinematic in the End, which even tells the story of the Exiled Lands, not Siptah actually ?

In general almost everything you find in Siptah is a simpler and sloppier version of what there is in the Exiled Lands, but shinier and prettier. Even the curse wall, it is there, but changed to a “mist wall” that kills you of exposure should go away too far.

So, there isnt really something to say Siptah is great, and if one argues there is, it only adds to the legacy of the Exiled Lands, because it seems Siptah is a giant plot device to explain what the Exiled Lands are.

Like I said, I know I’m alone in my opinion.

You have just summed up this one’s entire presence in the game since Age of War started. Especially after chapter 4.

The raidable camps are nice on Siptah, they offer a middle ground between just marooned and getting into the Vaults or conjuring from the pools. A sort of mid-late ground that was missing

@AndersonKain Do you play on Console or PC?

It’s a welcomed change. No complaints from me.

It’s definitely a grind. It’s not for everyone. But it’s also not completely impossible. Between the Maelstrom, Vault Chests and the Pools it’s totally possible.

Also trading helps. I traded for my Midnight Alchemist and Grandmaster Armorsmith recipes.

True

One thing was nicely inherent to Siptah:
For the lack of actual development of the level, you could then get in the admin panel all the scrolls you actually were required to explore and find the Exiled Lands.

It is nice for server admins to make new ways of getting those things.

But in terms of the map, it is detrimental to its legacy.

What?

Siptah isn’t designed for everyone, same can be said for EL.

Siptah is my favorite map. It’s legacy is what I make of it.

@Community

one of the things will improve for siptah will be to add a couple dungeons that are present in EL , and makes total sense to have it in siptah. they just need to copy and place it in the map, (there are open areas in siptah map for putting those dungeons.

  1. midnight grove , (its a spiritual dungeon, you teleport by taking the potion, we have all to agree that if you can go defeat the champion of the sacred hunt, at the midnight grove , why you cant have the midnight grove itself, since you go there by drinking a potion?

  2. sunken dungeon, we are in a island, we could have a boat in siptah that could take you there.

as i said i dont think it will require too much of dev time to do this. but very unlikely this will happen, we can only wish. because why not?

For me, FC has to prove out continued support of the revisions for Siptah. Too many errors and critical flaws occurring on the map to justify lengthy time investments that I used to do. Plus the map is fairly boring in terms of building spots. You got a handful of nice spots to build on and the rest are just the same time of stuff. Look at the trees for instance. EL has various tree types (at least 5 in the northern jungle) that vary in size and ground that its rooted in. So many variables means near endless types of treehouses to build. What does Siptah have? Well redwoods over here…and over there…and over there…and up in that region. Straight and vertical and nothing else. The rest of the map is the same way…cliffs are all steep drop offs. Rolling hills everywhere in the middle. I mean after you go through the motions of the different biomes, there isn’t a lot of creative discoveries afterwards as far as building goes.

I’ve been playing on an EU server for a few days. It’s me, my bits, and the occasional serial refresher.

My main server is also dead. People just hold onto them hoping for transfers. :crab:

There are quite a few unique and great places to build. Dusk iland is great for those who wants to play with lightning

Offer better graphics , better shaders , better terrain and grass.

Ehat i miss is snow :frowning: and rain.

8065 does well with 10 people to 15 and no lag the culprit is buildings are too massive they must be removed when someone misses that timetable poof improvement, if they don’t log for that long I kill them everytime I see them until they agree to down size. Lol

No thanks.

I only play on Siptah and adding in EL only Dungeons isn’t a good idea.

Keep the maps separate and unique as they are.

If you want that then play on a private server with the mod that allows for Teleportation between multiple maps.
