Warpaints feel usless in this form. You can make your build with just armor, no need for extra stats, lets be honest here.
People who say that 3 stats makes a difference have no idea what they’re talking about. All stats past 40 have an agressive diminishing effect which makes it not worth investing into. It’s the same people who might come and say: “hey, I defeated that player because of those 3 extra points in survival, I coudln’t have done it without it” which is ridiculous.
Warpaints should be cosmetic and part of the character customization through orb or nergal.
I was hyped for so many warpaints being added to the game with these new patches, but then I remember they expire faster than you can craft them. It’s like buying a plane ticket every time you want to go to your local store.
Before you get annoyed with me for nitpicking, I just wanna say that I agree with you that warpaints are not very useful right now and that the effects past 40 are usually not worth investing into.
Having said that, a +3 on a stat can be very useful in terms of attribute point savings. If something gives you a +3 bonus to a specific stat, then you can meet your stat goal at a lower cost.
For example, let’s say your goal is to have 40 STR. If you have no bonuses from armor or any other effects, you have to invest 180 attribute points. If your armor gives you +10 to STR, you have to invest 105 attribute points. Now, like I said, I agree that warpaint isn’t worth it, at least not for me, but just to illustrate my point, with the warpaint you would have +13 to STR, which means you would have to invest only 97 attribute points. That +3 to STR from warpaint saved you 8 attribute points. It’s not a huge difference, but it could be just enough to get the next perk in some other attribute.
I agree with the OP. There’s a ton of cosmetic warpaints that are not useable because you need the buff.
Let’s pose it this way. There’s a few DLCs that we’re not getting full value out of because of this issue.
Warpaint is 90minutes.

and yes that +3 does a lot for builds involving pvp on officials with the boring current heavy armor horse meta. Getting 50 str, 40 vit, 20 agil, 20 grit 20 encum.
All the new changes are harming pvp already, Suggestions like this my friends literally buying new games making plans for future we are literally leaving conan cause people in this community dont know the difference between PVP and PVE.
Can’t they make elixirs +6 stats and turn warpaints cosmetic?
50str, 40 str, you deal the same number of hits on a target.
A game needs change from time to time. If you can’t adapt like everybody else you’re in for a ride in the long run.
Why do attribute buffing warpaints need to become cosmetic when there are like 50 cosmetic warpaints already?

I have provided my reasoning behind my beliefs concerning warpaints. Feel free to argue my point of view.
Functional warpaints are also cosmetic, and maybe I want just the cosmetic and don’t want to spend dragon powder for 1 hour of paint.
I still think that people who believe 3 attribute points make a difference, live in an imaginary world. Your word alone won’t convince me otherwise.
Hi, I use the vitality war paint every time I play. It offers me +3 extra vitality, which scores me the next bonus attribute, making my attribute setup very handy. It lasts for 40minutes of gameplay before I need to reapply. I love the war paints, they are great!
3 points can be 10 points in another attribute. Think about it.
I play 40 str, 40 vit, 30 grit, 10 agil, and 20 enc. I get this build with attribute bonus from armor only. Now we have helmet and gloves that give 8/7 str.
I’ve made actual tests and the damage increase past 40 str is not worth the 10 extra points investment.
More than 10 agility makes no sense because your damage reductions has a soft cap at 80% and you can get armor by simply crafting using a t4 armorer.
How is a warpaint going to help me here?
2 dragon powder for 3 attribute is not convincing for me and I think warpaints would be better appreciated if they add them to Orb of Nergal. They already made legendary armor over buffed, so people can easily complete their builds without warpaints.
Dragon powder easy to make.
It’s a complex material. Requires alot of time investment to make in comparison with other stuf, and below level 60 without proper tools, it can be a chore to create.
Crafting dragon powder is like crafting heavy lvl 60 armor. Sure you can make 200 armors, but would you do it every day?
saddest part is this is the pathetic feedback funcom listen to and will no doubt change in the future.
can’t wait to lose warpaint buff because someone wants ALL of them to be cosmetic coz they aren’t happy with the already huge amount of cosmetic paint.

I had this conversation in discord and most people agreed with me, some going even further to add on it. People who disaproved would share their opinion in a constructive manner.
Here on the forums it’s like the salt mines in Ontario.
Anyway I respect your opinion and I wouldn’t want Funcom to act on my feedback alone.
People need 30 Agility with your build to be competetive in PvP. At least on the servers I play on. And this is not because of the armor bonus.
