Meat not decaying when offline?

Bug Description:

Not sure if a bug or not but I am trying to rot meat to make compost. I left some out in a chest last night expecting them to all rot but this morning none had decayed? I then put some in my inventory and checked at lunch and still none have decayed.

It appears that the timer for the meat only works when I’m online. Not sure if that is how it is supposed to work or not. Making it hard to make compost…

Well I realize that the meat that was left in the campfire did decay. It was only the meat in the chest or on my inventory that was not decaying when I was offline. Weird.
