Melee thralls have difficulty advancing towards a stationary Rotbranch

Game mode: Online private
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvE
Region: America
Mods?: Yes
Edition: Steam

Bug Description:

When telling a thrall with a melee weapon to attack Rotbranch, the thrall remains stationary unless Rotbranch also moves. This is also observed when the thrall is tossed some distance away from Rotbranch shooting out its branches; the thrall recovers and stands waiting for Rotbranch to recover. As soon as Rotbranch recovers and proceeds towards the thrall, the thrall starts taking steps as well.

Installed Mods:

Hosav UI

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Bring a thrall equipped with a melee weapon.
  2. Locate a Rotbranch, and approach preferably from behind or anywhere outside its line of sight.
  3. Command thrall to attack Rotbranch, regardless of their engagement/tactics settings.
  4. Observe the thrall’s hesistance.
  5. Start the fight proper, and let the thrall be the focus of Rotbranch’s attention.
  6. Observe the thrall whenever it is launched from Rotbranch’s expanding branch attack.
  7. Verify that the thrall demonstrates courtesy for Rotbranch to finish recovering before resuming engagement.
  8. (Optional) When the thrall gets tossed from the area attack, manually command the thrall to move next to Rotbranch while it catches its breath. This is the only way to get a melee thrall to start attacking Rotbranch before the recovery finishes.

Hey @Ricojes

Thanks for sharing your findings with us. We’ve sent your report to the instructors at Thrall Pathfinding 101 so they also cover thralls facing rotbrances. (aka we’ve sent note to our coders to give this a look :P).
