Hi, My concern is that my mic sound decreases on discord when I’m in game. And that only gets to me with Conan Exiles. I checked all my options on discord, and on the game. And none of them decrease the sound of the microphone. I also checked my drivers, they are all up to date. So, I come to ask you for help, because it’s insane. As soon as I do an alt + tab and exit the game. My microphone returns to its normal volume and as soon as I return to the game, the sound decreases again. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Welcome to the forum @ijeepy
as I understood, people can’t hear you well, when you’re in game?
I’m not sure this helps if it doesn’t happen with other games, but you could try this:
1.Right click on the sound symbol on you taskbar
2.Select Sounds
3.click on communications
4.You might see that an option for sound reduction to 80% or 50% is ticked
5.Choose “do nothing”
This option normally should reduce the sound of other applications when you are in a call with someone, but its quirky.
under device properties for your mic you can click on additional properties. In the new window that pops up you can look for “advanced” or something.(Sorry my system has a different language) There should be two boxes to check for “exclusive mode”. If not checked, try to run your applications with them checked.
Maybe Conan Exiles and Discord are fighting for control over your mic.
That’s the two ways I was able to make discord work fine with games, which had in game voice chat in the past.
Maybe there’s a computer pro in the forum that can help you further.
Fingers crossed
