logged in today and my game wotn give me access to official servers as they have updated. Ive been told that xbox gamepass doesnt autoupdate and im not redownloading the game. I have bought the game on steam and am currently downloading it but I want the steam account to login using my initial funcom account created by game pass. Gamepass is linked to steam - I don’t know if that makes a difference(?).
All the posts about this seem to be years old. I don’t know if im being naive in thinking this has been fixed. If someone could help me that would be amazing. Is there a game file or similar I can copy from the microsoft install into the steam one or similar?
Your character is saved on the map file itself on a server. There is no file to download unless you have FTP access to the server. In which case you might be able to change which character ties to which account (but I’m unsure this is still possible). You will not have FTP access to one of Funcom servers.
When you start up Conan Exiles for the first time on Steam it will automatically recreate a new Funcom ID and when you login to a server you will be prompted to make a new character. I don’t believe they have a means to transfer a Gamepass created Funcom account to a Steam one.
