Multiple Display Issues

Since I re-redownloaded the game through Steam I have had multiple issues with objects not being displayed. It start with the Polaris dungeon where the floor would not populate causing my character to repeatedly fall through the world when trying to move. I had a similar issue with the sewers in Kingsmouth. And currently I am having an issue with the quest Hell and Bach Tier 1 where the circle can not be seen when rolling the carpet back. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the game client multiple times, my system is more than capable of running the game on max settings with no problem as well.

I have really been enjoying my time with this game so far, but these issues are making it incredibly frustrating to continue playing it.

Make sure that “Full Client” is checked in the patcher options and whenever you see a spinning icon near the right side of your topbar, just wait it out. It means that the game is downloading data in the background.

I’ve done the full client download both times I’ve reinstalled. I just did a fresh install from the Funcom website (Full Client), created a brand new character and in the tutorial level the Gravekeeper is invisible as well as the lever to open the tomb after killing the revenant. Are you saying I should just log into the game on a character and just sit and wait for the in game download to finish before continuing?

It downloads background data as needed, not in one batch. But whenever you notice the spinning wheel icon in your topbar it’s best to wait it out. You can also increase the speed cap for background downloads in the patcher or in-game.

Been sitting in the room for over an hour now waiting for the wheel to stop spinning. Still nothing.

That means you’re still downloading background data for your current area. But that seems unusually slow unless your internet is even worse than mine!

Unfortunately “full client” doesn’t actually work, you’ll always get the “download as needed” client now where about 20GB gets delivered as you reach new areas.

In the Misc. tab of the esc menu you can set the download speed, I believe default is fairly low (100kbps ish) and it helps a lot to crank it up to 10+Mbps if you have the overhead.

Yeah I have it at unlimited. Guess I just need to stay in game and wait around. It’s already been a couple hours ;_;

Update:

I’ve done everything I can think of at this point. The graphical issues are still persistent. I was just running around the game world for about three hours last night waiting on the background download to finish (it never stopped). I’ve even gone so far as to install a graphics driver from last year as a test to see if that may affect it with no change. My weapons are invisible, outfits in clothing collection are invisible, spell effects are obviously not displaying correctly, invisible enemies and quest objectives.

System Specs:

Intel Core i7-5820k 3.3 GHz
8 GB RAM
Windows 10 64 Bit
GeForce GTX1060 6GB

There is no reason I should be able to run this with all these issues. I’m so lost as to what else I could do to fix this.

With the “full” client, background downloads should only ever take a couple of minutes when you enter an area that requires new assets. If it’s going on for hours there’s something wrong on your end. Overly aggressive antivirus programs have been known to cause download issues, for example, as have ISP-level filters that some countries require you to opt out of.
