Funcom:
Must be placed in water. ??? As you can see by the screenshot, I am attempting to place in water.
This is not the only area where some kind of terrain remapping has taken place, and where fish traps are no longer placable. What gives?
Advice and/or workarounds appreciated. Addressing the bug also appreciated.

This has been an issue for a hot minute. Try adjusting the height of the fish trap. My clanmate had success placing his (in the EL, if it matters) just barely off the shore; it breaks immersion, but it works.
I had better luck in deeper waters, I believe that should be changed to “under” instead of “in”.
