Hello, My fellow exiles. I’ve been playing Conan Exiles for maybe the past month or so. I was excited that I finally made it to level sixty. However, Since the update my Co-op is now connecting into my friend’s game with an entirely new character all while them being offline. Sometimes I am also able to play as his character. My work is gone along with my level sixty character. This happens when I play on either my single or co-op. So, Did my those merge? Both the single and co-op should be completely separated, correct?
My daughter also created a Conan character under her own Xbox account a few days ago and now having the same issues I’m having. She doesn’t even have my friend as a xbox friend and somehow she’s connecting into their game as well.
Is anyone else having this issue when it comes to their solo or co-op game??
You may want to go to settings and at the bottom of general settings make sure that “ALLOW FAMILY SHARED ACCOUNTS” box is not checked and maybe that will help.
SP and Co-op aren’t seperate if you’re the host for Co-op. If you build a massive fortress in singleplayer mode, then launch a Co-op game the following day, you’ll still be able to visit your singleplayer fortress and so will anyone that joins your Co-op game. If you launch singleplayer mode again, whoever joined you Co-op, their character will remain in your singleplayer game, until they either delete their character or you delete your singleplayer save.
its sounds to me like you actually have 2 characters;
1 on your singleplayer/co-op save.
and
1 on your friends singleplayer/co-op save.
I have to admit, I do not have a lot of experience with co-op, but I believe that the host needs to be online in order for you to join that instance of the game.
The fact that both of you take turns being the host to the co-op may be the acutal cause of the issue you are having.
@Evette ,First of all welcome to the community . What I just read , like you understand makes no sense , especially your daughters connection to your server and to your friends character . I play on PS4 yet after 2.4 update bug I never tried to play co-op again . The bug was similar to the one you describe , but nobody uninvited could enter . So maybe your friend send invitation to your daughter , she accepted it , she enters the server but with the bug to spawn on his character , this way only it makes sense to me .
Join an official server , or a private server with the parameters you like , quit co-op .
Or
play solo .
You will tell me again , dude what about my lvl 60 ?
I promise you that if you get crushed by the game , what you just lost is nothing compared to what you’ll gain by continuing playing it .
I have restarted in over 100 servers the past 2+ years , I had a crazy PvP team that when they had anything and didn’t feel pressure anymore from the servers opponents they quit and join new server . They were playing all the time in private fast servers so they will have everything from day 2 .
So don’t be afraid to restart , don’t feel sorry with what you loose , just have fun and remember … bedrolls are your best friends , do not forget to put them here and there from time to time .
Logically, it makes absolutely no sense for my daughter to have her account entwined with theirs or mine. My daughter is young so I have certain settings disabled for her such as inviting and communication with others online. It’s weird honestly that this is happening. Since the last update, I’ve started using an official server. I check on my single player and co-op here and there just to see if the bugs have been fixed (with no resolve).
However, my friend thinks if they were to create a entirely new game on their system it would possibily help get my system back. So, we will be trying this method out today. Hopefully, its successful.
The game is real easy to catch back up in status so you’re absolutely right, “nothing is compared to what you’ll gain by continuing to play”. I’m still having a blast, I just wished that I didn’t have to recreate my buildings and etc.
