My server is not showing up in the server browser

Servers fail to show up in the server browser intermittently.
Sometimes closing game client and steam, then restarting steam works? But not reliably.

I can visit the server hosts and verify that both servers are up, both are providing clean logs, they should be visible.

You can’t even direct connect when this is happening.
And when you can see them, connections still fail.
Which doesn’t make sense, because the server is up, you can ping it; just - something in steam or funcom that is normally operating as a go-between isn’t.

Funcom should have fixed this already. And no update on the situation for 3 days? Come on guys at least tell us something.

This is becoming a bigger problem:

New players trying to join the servers cant search and find them in the server browser list - or worse think that the servers are not there or offline.

Current players are inconvenienced and have to use direct connect method, searching for, copying and pasting IP addresses etc and have been doing this for almost a week

Could really do with a fix for this asap please funcom gods :pray: :slight_smile:

I’m having the same problem here, I pay for a private server and can’t access it. Searching it doesn’t work, direct connect doesn’t work either. It’s been days now. Can we have an update please?

Now that is a different beast then what I believe many of us are experiencing. My server is still there and can be accessed with Direct Connect, no problem. It’s simply that it is not appearing, all the time, on the official lists.

yes, I also experience this mistake. My server is working, but I dont see in the server browser. Restart and I see or no. If I see my server, I can enter to server, but about 2-4 hours later I dont see it. No gportal. 2021.11.16 or 2021.11.19 patch is causing the error. It started 3 or 4 days ago.

I run my own dedicated server on a custom machine I built so I can confirm this is not a specific host issue, all three of my servers are absent from the list. Inconvienent that this happens on my vacation, lot of players got frustrated and left my community.

Still waiting for an update, hope you havent forgotten about this.

Normally I receive update/patch notes in STEAM.

This is how I know about the update/patch. This time nothing came up in STEAM informing me about anything. Today is Monday 22 2021 and I still have not seen any mention of the 11-16-2021 patch. In fact the last patch that is mentioned in STEAM was from 11-03-2021. Here is the link to the “News” info in STEAM:

I guess the info that is posted in the Funcom forum was not passed along to STEAM.

Same issue (PC) - server not found in search list, happens several times daily. Glad to hear Funcom is aware and working on it :heavy_heart_exclamation:

We found posts from SEVERAL hosting companies having the same problem (not just Gportal), so it is surely a Funcom issue.

FYI: We removed all mods, server repair, server wipe, and finally full server delete and re-creation (no mods) with NO SUCESS. Unbelievably, the DELETED server showed up, and NOT the new one!! Waited 12+ hours, still old server showing. :sob:

Heck, we even installed a PS4 server trying to reset any stored data/link to PC completely. Did not help, of course. Server restarts, updates, Favorites, and search refining did not yield better results.

This is very frustrating and we keep losing players :confused: Thank you for your attention, Funcom. Please help us.

Thank you guys, I double checked and I was doing something wrong with direct connect, it works. There’s still the servers list issue, but at least I can play.

I have in favorites about 20 servers.All official.Sometimes they show all-sometimes just some of them.Refresh not helps.But if you turn off game and start again-all ok

  • Can’t see server in server browser list.
  • Can’t direct connect to server.
  • Can direct connect to server, play for some time (hours), then get disconnected and can neither see it in list nor direct connect to it again.
  • Can ping server without fail. There is a network path to the server - it’s not an internet/routing issue.

Either this is a Funcom server developer’s problem, or a Funcom/Steam infrastructure issue.
Either way, the longer this problem goes on the more players you’re going to lose.
There are thousands of other games out there that Just Work and do not require this much trouble to play.
