Just started playing AoC this year 2025 and wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for viable Necromancer builds for PVE. Not much of a PVP player yet as I just want to play through everything at least once before getting into that.
if you do find any guides they should be valid. As far as I understand not much has changed for spells/feats in 10 years.
resources are quite low for AOC just like AO…
AO at least has ao-universe but it still has very few class guides.

Welcome to game.
There is several tip for necros. And there is several ways to go. And this is my way, (leveld 7 necros )
- go for petts, let the petts pull adds, and dont Get to manny at once,
- USE your CCs and kille the before the come to u,
- I like mele petts over mage petts, use your frenzy pet to helt u
- USE dott always, the do more dmg than u think
- Icestrike is fast and also do AOE i use that over deadly blizzard
- lifestrike can be a lifesaver, so is the minion leach that dra inn healt from minions healing u
- In the start conserve your mana, it is hard mana wise for a necro, use petts when u can. When doing a PVE raid build i always have canibalism feated. Reason is to Get mana. This espesially before u Get ok gear With mana tap.
If u want a spec use something like this

That’s the spec I sue for raids and groups too, but for solo play I prefer to use ranged pets because of their aoe, with a build like this.
If you want to use frenzy, you can still get 2 melee pets and the rest casters.

Thanks for replying and the information is a big help. I did take a break from Necro for awhile and have been playing DT which I have made it out of Tortage and past lvl 20. Still learning the game and will use your guidance to continue my Necro in time.
