Just had to keep killing until some humungous spider shown.

That’s a very Conan solution. Kill things until there are no more things to kill.
Bonus points for using Deirdre Deathbringer as a follower. Exile fighters are the best. (Not stat-wise maybe, but because they always exceed my expectations.)

Oh, yeah, I thought it was some bug where pillars where missing or something. I am glad we did not get killed and were able to finish the event.
I have been trying (so far) not to look for information on Siptah, but I will probably do it this week
