New User Interface looks better, unfortunately it is way less functional than the previous one. New filtering doesn’t actually filter the inventory. It just greys out items, which don’t match the criteria, instead of hiding them. It makes handling inventory annoying - even though I’ve used search option, I still have to manually search for the equipment I was trying to find, becasue I can still see the enitre list. It doesn’t make any sense. Previous version - which was actually filtering (hiding) items worked way better.
Today I’ve played for the first time after the UI update and when it came to handling loot, I just logged out, because I didn’t have the patience to deal with that UI.
I agree allow this to be optionally changed to this and back to the original, because it would have been better that this was a optional alternative to the old one.
EXACTLY
The filters, OMG!
Grey out things, fine.
But at least move the cursor to where the filtered item is at, OK?
I just wanna manage my “food”. I can see them, they are highlighted, but they are down there a few screens away and every time I open my inventory I have to scroll down hard to locate it.
So frustrating.

It still would annoy me. I’m using filters to organise my inventory. I’m using words like ‘dust’ to get mutliple items at once to put them in a chest. They are pretty much never next to each other, so with your solution I’d still have to search for every item separately. There was nothing wrong with the old solution. I don’t know why they decided to reinvent the wheel and create a “new” filter. Everybody knows how a filter should work.
Honestly it is currently the only bug, which keeps me from playing the game. I don’t mind all the other changes, not even the bugs.
Yeah, the old filters are just fine. Now there are too many of them.
At first when I heard about the sorting and filter changes I thought it’s about the crafting menu, like you can filter the epic, non-epic, heavy, medium, light armors in the armorer’s bench. I was excited.
I am so wrong…
I hate having to re-filter every single box, bench, everything, it doesn’t make the filters global and I don’t tend to use filters differently based on the container, it’s a nice feature but should be optional.
I like that we have more filters. I’d use the hell out of hem… if they worked.
To be fair - I’d love to have even more filters. They would just need to make a multilevel UI. For example filter “weapons” and then you press right mouse button on it and you get all types of weapons (daggers etc) inside. Then you’d have both - short list of filters and a possiblity to get more.
