Because they have too many hit points and it would get repetitive combat after your 5th battle. I like the option to quick pass through if you know the secret. It’s akin to the gerbil sacks event where you could widdle down the champions million HP without the rave glitter but who has time to do that.
Some people are destructive by nature and will do things they feel or believe is “right”, but “right” to such people includes suppressive actions, violating other people, and interference amongst several other things. If any system is to continue functioning, such people are eventually removed. They never last long when the outcome of their actions results in the decay or breakdown of a necessary system. The comment hiding has been happening but it won’t keep happening forever and it will not be the ultimate outcome for this forum.
What @Xevyr is trying to say is that the cons for a review of this update should be, what was added in this update that should be listed as a con.
Conversely, you have chosen to go the rout of stating that “This update includes a slew of bugfixes, optizations and qulity-of-life improvements”, however I would have liked to have seen these specific things addressed as well (then list things you are experiencing that you would have liked them to fix).
It basically all comes down to the way the topic was presented, as a review of the update and therefore what was contained in the update, and what was presented in the text of the original post. It’s not really worth arguing over, I just wanted to point out where the two of you seem to be viewing the issue from so that, perhaps, you can now see why @Xevyr brought up the critique that he did. I do not think that he meant to insult you (though I am not him so I have no idea), but more to ask you if there was anything included in the update that you dislike or view as a con. But again, that is more of a guess on my part.
Heh, I see you edited your thread ![]()
To clarify, since you seem to not understand what was the issue.. I certainly wasn’t offended by your post, I merely pointed out in a slightly sarcastic way that it had a fundamental lack of basic logic since you went ahead and made your list of pros relevant to the update, while your list of cons was in complete ignorance of what they actually updated and was just a list of your general pet peves with the game and things you’d like to see fixed.
It was certainly not because I am in some weird way “defending the game” or having “feelings”, quite the opposite… it was lacking cold hard logic, not emotions ![]()
I do apologize if my post did offend you though, I meat it merely as a way to call out the flaw in thinking so that you may improve further posts.
For example’s sake though, here’s how you do it…
Cons:
- If the event system is disabled and you enter the dregs, you will be teleported into the void where the dark dregs was supposed to be, but the map won’t be loaded for it.
- The patch notes are bloated, several items listed on it were either untouched or incorrectly described (for example the VO system of the accountant was completely unchanged and the bug of it not playing on servers is still there)
- The new respawn UI - while nice - isn’t set up properly for directional navigation and console users aren’t able to select their bed
see? these are related to the actual update they did
that’s all I was saying.
Cheers!
The Paranoid armor is nice. But the dungeon event was boring, you just run through it without having to put any effort into it and that’s it. Basically zero enemies, no puzzles, nothing.
