New update, still can't skip intro video?

Was really hoping they would add the ability to skip the intro video with this latest update, but sadly not only have they not done that, but now the old fix (altering the DefaultGame.ini file) is no longer available. The entire config folder inside the ConanSandbox folder is just plain missing, and when I search for the DefaultGame.ini file, it is nowhere to be found. I tried removing the “sandstorm” mp4 file from the movies folder, but the intro still plays.

Is it really that hard for them to let us skip it? Legit I don’t understand why this is still an issue with a now 8 year old game…

You do get that runs while the game is loading right?

Whether it’s the intro or a black screen you are going to be setting there waiting.

Now you want to speed that up SSD, more ram, faster CPU. funcom can’t fix that for you.

I have the game on SSD, and I have literally been able to bypass the intro video before with a fix I found on the wiki (altering the DefaultGame.ini file so that the video doesn’t play), and the game would load almost instantly. So clearly this is not the issue. I get that the game “loads” and sometimes takes time to “load”, but making me sit through a long intro video that is easily 2-3 times the length of time it actually takes the game to load, is not necessary at all.

Before, I used the same technique to skip the intro, but since the update, it’s impossible. I don’t understand how they let this error slip through.

You mean you can’t skip the CGI intro that plays after launching the game?

I skipped it just by pressing LMB. I could always skip it in old CE too. No tricks.

I have a friend that is also able to skip it. It seems like it’s not 100% of people who have this issue, but enough of us that they needed to put a “fix” on the wiki about it (a fix which no longer works after this update).

Really hoping someone figures out a new fix soon…

Go to:
\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Content\Movies

Delete or rename:

Exiles Cinematic Intro.bk2
Funcom Splash.bk2
Splash_Inflexion.bk2
StartupNvidia.bk2
StartupUnreal.bk2

I click it, it’s done, not sure why that doesn’t work for you and I’m loading off an HDD. I don’t have to set though more then a very few seconds.

Oh, sorry, my bad, I don’t even have to wait out the Conan funcom flag flash, so…
