No as I said I just added it to favorites and when I would go to the list would click on favorites and it would be there never payed attention to the name of it. never needed to 
If your server had a nice community contact one of them they may help you. On our side we got a discord with a bunch of the server players on it one of our member made an announcement with the IP to connect to it as soon as he noticed the issue

Same problem for private servers, and direct connect via steam never worked for me.
Via link it doesn’t work either now, i love this game. But i hate Funcom and their inability to properly test their patches.
Even this forum is frustrating as the “first step notification” is annoying AF.
I figured it out, In steam at the top there is a view in that there is servers and under favorites it had a server IP I tried to use that and it kept saying that server didn’t exists, I then went to that web site you suggested https://www.battlemetrics.com and typed the ip that was in the steam favorites thing and 3 popped up that were very close to it so I tried them and one of them was my server, for some reason the last 2 digits in steam were different then the actual server the last 5 digits of the server are 28000 but steam had it as 28011 but through some round about way I actually found my server and direct connect worked perfectly. I have since wrote down my server name and IP just in case.
