So… Glad the decay timers back to normal.
But thanks for the warning Funcom.
All my Thralls. Followers. Poof. Gone.
And I missed it by mere hours.
Thanks alot funnotcom

Actually… there was a warning
there was such an early warning that most people already forgot about it lol:
I will note. I was still within 10 days since I last logged in.
el aviso está mal, aunque sale en los servidores oficiales, el temporizador está en modo normal.
The warning is incorrect; although it appears on the official servers, the timer is in normal mode.
While this is certainly true the way they revert the timers is infuriating nonetheless. If you have some time left on the timer the day they reverting they should grace you with the full reset to 240 hours, not subtract simply 240 hours from your timer so you end up in decay. This may be ok if they had a working product and a team which can communicate and is able to keep their schedules but not with this mess we have at the moment.
It is just a complete disregard of the time players still willing to invest in their game, which we know already and its clearly our, the players still playing on official servers, fault that we still playing there.
There is a reason why I don’t spend a single crom coin although I really like to have some of the building items.
Is there a post here on their official forms? Not everyone uses X, and Id hope Funcom would have at the bare minimum put a post here.
I mean….they arent that bad are they?
Uh, thats two months off….
I feel your pain. We lost thralls on two servers.
The message on the official servers still inaccurately said January until the message disappeared. I know to reset decay timers right before and right after the decay timer gets changed by Funcom. But I do require knowing the exact date when timer changes occur to prevent thrall loss. In fact I need a few days advanced notice so I can make time to log onto Conan.
The message also said that thrall decay timers would be reset 10 days after building decay timers. Funcom has this best practice because its not the first time they mass deleted thralls. Too bad they didn’t follow their own best practice in this case.
Losing a base to decay without any notification is one of the most demoralizing things in this game, especially after investing hours building it. A simple email or in-game alert a day or two before the timer runs out isn’t a crazy ask — plenty of survival games do this already. Would save a lot of frustration and probably keep more players from just quitting the server entirely.
