I was at the mounds catching a Berserker. Accidently I was killed in the shallow water. I came back to take my items. I found it in shallow water. But i could not take my items from my body. Only drink.
I think this happens also when you kill an enemy. You cannot take the items from a dead body.
But it is complete annoying when I loose all my armour, weapons and items because of such a bug!
Steps on how to reproduce issue:
get killed in shallow water
return to take your items
look and cry because it is not possible to take your stuff. You look on your dead body realizing all your stuff is lost
You can only drink water on that place when you click.
i am not sure, how this is meant (look straight up ? - do you mean stand over the body and look to the sky ?). I tried all possible variants to get my stuff.
BTW, I know this bug is not new. I experienced this with some items I dropped accidently and could not get back. This is since about almost a year ago. It was promised to be looked into. Even it is not new (from today) it was new at that time, because I remeber a time when that was no Problem. And now that I lost my Epic stuff about this, it became suddenly critical for me and earns a reminder to the team.
Right, stand in a way that the camera is look through the body in the water.
As a side note, changes to the game can very easily cause more issues. In programing, the more rules you want means more code. More code means more to go wrong upon implementation.
One thing the devs could change is to make dead bodies float as if a knocked out thrall in water. Could also add realism due to bodies not sinking without a lot of help.
