NPC Enemies wont go thru door frames and gate frames, but purgers will

My brother and I built a Colloseum. We saw a three skull and some scorpians near by. We lightly aggro them to have them chase us to the colloseum. They will not enter thru door frames or gate frames. They stop there pissed like it is some enemy force on the opposite side of the dmz zone. We have tried it with doors open and doors removed. They would not enter. Purgers will go thru, but assume the purgers have a different ai being used.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Have pissed off non npc enemies chase you
  2. Go thru a door frame or gate frame
  3. They will stop at the frame, either if the door is open or lack of door.
  4. Proceed to shake gentiles at then while talking about their mothers.

I can see this being exploitable when farming or attacking high level npc elements.

Wandering fighters from Sepermeru have walked through my gates in the past, but I haven’t been down there for over a week now so I don’t know if a recent patch has altered their respect of privacy or something. It’s kinda annoying because there’s no easy way to get him out again, and if I attack him my whole town piles on him and makes a mess of my orderly marketplace. I’ll test this once I get my computer back.

It seems to be mostly animals or monsters that have the gate problem, animals and bosses at the savanna cannot pass through gate frames, but human NPCs can.

Our team is aware of some AI characters being a little door-challenged and they’re looking into ways to make them understand the process of going through a door frame.
