Nude dancer keeps putting clothes back on

As a matter of policy, I don’t allow my at-base dancers to wear clothing, but every login/server reset, my dancer appears wearing the clothes she wore most recently. It’s a visual bug only. It does not affect the thrall’s stats nor inventory. Equipping any clothing item then removing it will update the thrall’s appearance. In this playthrough, this is my only thrall so far and I haven’t yet had the chance to test if it affects other thrall types.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Give dancer thrall clothing
  2. Remove clothing from dancer thrall
  3. Relog
  4. Observe dancer wearing clothing despite having an empty inventory

The work around for this is to give them clothes then take them away then have them follow you take a few steps and then replace the thrall where you want. You can then log out and back in an the appearance should save the way you want it to be.

Of course this happens during my lone wolf/no follower challenge. Or maybe I only noticed it because of the no follower challenge.

Does your no folower chalenge include the fact that you can’t make them folow you around ( inside ) your base ? like that you respect the no folowers - while on the move - but still can avoid this bug :wink:

Yeah, I’ve already used the workaround and fixed it. I figured in this instance I’d give myself a pass since I didn’t take her out adventuring.

Oh the horror…!! No seriously, what could be more disheartening than an exotic dancer who puts clothes back on!

No in all seriousness I once had this issue myself with helmets (I called it the holographic helmet), but used the same workaround which @Wak4863 has provided for you (thanks Wak!), which worked like a charm. Glad to hear it worked for you too bbtech.

I would be worried… sounds like the AI is starting to get their own will…
She doesn’t want to run around naked… better not force her to be nude if she doesn’t want to… we all know what happens if you supress sentient AI :smile:

Update with additional testing. I captured a Seeker Iris during my purge and she since has finished being broken in the wheel. It affects her as well, so it’s not just the dancer. The line in the OP that says “what she wore most recently” is apparently not accurate. I equipped my dancer thrall with the vanilla encumbrance light armor before relogging, and she appeared with the vanir settler armor after relog. Screencap is of Seeker Iris

I have not tried coop mode, but if I do I will report back with results.
