I have loved this game and have put in well over 300something odd days between different accounts over the past 4 years but the new reporting system is infuriating. After recently getting banned and wiped for having too many bases (as a 10 man clan we had deserters gutter, ice cave, southern aqueduct and some random outposts and maprooms) we first decided we weren’t going to play anymore but then after a few days decided to come back swearing we werent going to find ourselves in the same situation. As a ten man clan we are only built in deserters gutter, no giant walls around it, no spam, and there are literally clans in both adjacent tunnels to the actual gutter and today we were banned again. All we had was the gutter and some wheels and maprooms out in the open not taking up premium base locations. I am convinced that funcom intends for everyone to do one of 3 things in official:
Mesh (still spots that you can)
Build a skybase (still possible to do and easily done)
Or just live out of body vaults (which they also make incredibly easy…i personally have about 10 accounts i use for this and i know of others that have even more)
I love the game, the pvp is fun, and it sure is a lot smoother of a game than it was 4 years ago. But whats the fun of building a cool base hoping to defend it when in reality the majority of wars (at least on Xbox) have continued to be decided by who gets reported/dev wiped first. It’s insane that this is what the game came down to, when a mere year or two ago people i know had reported and pleaded to funcom with blatant evidence of undermeshing yet were told there was nothing that could be done. But its all good I suppose I’ll just pull some tools out of a body vault and start cracking rocks to get my skybase built on an alt since its clear thats the way you are intended to build in official pvp these days.
