Official Server 1770

I hope this is allowed, I don’t want to violate any rules. Official Server 1770 is very interesting—just a few players. But what someone there does is, after you get started after a few days, all the items in your base disappear. The base is intact, with no damage, and all doors present. Just everything inside your locked chests and everything inside your crafting tables disappears. I guess someone on that server doesn’t want any new people to get started. I thought it must be a fluke so I continued, tried again. After a few days, the same thing.

Looks like a PVP PC server?

Welcome to the joys of unmitigated hacking.

Apparently, I mean, that’s what my friends say and they’ve been playing pvp official for about 7 years. I’m pretty new.

If they’re saying it too I would defer to their expertise.

This hack has been around in different iterations for years but really only this consistent since December. It’s run off player population more than any other type, including me. Tired of having to find all kinds of “creative” ways that toe the line of cheating myself just retain my loot enough to have a playthrough.

Reporting this is a waste of time because unless you have at least one of these things it ain’t gonna matter to Zendesk staff: video evidence, logs, Funcom IDs.

Now if it shows in logs chances are it’s an exploit by travelling through the mesh into your base. So not hacking but still cheating.

That’s very interesting. I guess I could take a video of my empty locked chests. HAHA. The event log appears empty. I’ll check it again.

Increase proximity and days to max, ensure boxes are ticked, then run it.

If there’s still nothing from the date it occurred then it’s a hack.

I’m sorry. I wish there was something that could truly be done here but Funcom won’t answer questions or give us updates on this problem.

Yup I did that like you described. Nothing. Funcom wrote me back asking for a video of the incident, and the Funcom ID of the hacker. I’ll get out my Ouija board and see what I can come up with

This is the supposed “vacuum” hack. Where the hacker can essentially suck everything out of chests and benches.

This is the world of Conan Exiles on Official PVP servers.

@den , @AndyB , @Community - this is the world that Funcom has created.

Because they refuse to ADEQUATELY address the issue. All of them will happily tell you to “open a Zendesk ticket” to address the hacking. But unfortunately - the burden of proof, and all of the required research must be assembled by you.

The best that you can do is recognize that this is this studio’s best. And you can expect the same and more mediocrity from Dune Awakening. Once they have your money … well … they have your money. There is no Funcom agenda item where they have an interest in keeping the game playable. Or where they keep it free from cheaters. Just toss another ticket on the Zendesk pile. Let me get a link for ya:

https://funcom.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

You might expect a response after you submit your report. But I wouldn’t expect a response. Several of the tickets I’ve opened recently were “auto-solved” and never sent along ANY kind of response.

You can try putting your valuables into camels. Or other pets or thralls. The vacuum hack does not have the ability to strip stuff out of pet/thrall inventories.

Yup. All of my most important items went into thralls at the core. Including WORKER THRALLS.

Then when you’re attacked by the “legitimate” clan during raid hours with the solo hacker in tow, they’ll then hitbox pull your pets and thralls holding your shit.

Can’t wait for October. It’s gonna be great!
