Official Server 6438 PvE-C (Isle of Siptah) Crashes

I have been told this is where bugs are supposed to be posted, and while a workaround has been found by some players, some on the server likely still don’t know about it.

Since the most recent major patch, the server has crashed at a much more frequent rate than previously. On a routine trip, teleporting between bases to refresh their decay timer, I try to teleport to one of our major bases, in square I-6. Every time I tried teleporting into it, the server crashed. Thinking that maybe there’s something wrong with teleporting, I eventually try hoofing it there instead. I get to square K-7, underneath a rock bridge with a large base on it and crash. Over the course of several days, every attempt to log back in and leave that area end in failure and the server crashing 30-ish seconds later. My device is a Intel(R) Core™ i7-8850H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz, with 32 GB of RAM on a 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. I use no mods.

Talking with people on the forums, a workaround seemed to have been found. In each area where the game would crash, there was a base that had tiny turtle pets, including my clan’s base that I couldn’t teleport into. Apparently, something about them interacting with the new patch made the server crash. After removing my bracelet and deleting the turtles from my clan’s followers, I can interact with my base normally.

The blueprint for the NPC small turtle pet is a data only child blueprint. So it’s fairly impossible for it to be code in there. Unless there’s something bizarrely odd with the animation or skeletal mesh of the physics asset or something.

I suppose I can do an experiment, make a new turtle pet somewhere and see if it causes a crash, and have a clan member in another area delete it if it causes the problem like I’ve assumed.
