Game mode: Online official
Type of issue: Bug
Server type:ALL
Region: ALL
Mods?: No
Edition: Game Pass
Bug Description:
After uninstalling and reinstalling the game, which I’m really glad I don’t pay for internet by Gigabyte anymore, but which still upsets the other people on our house due to bandwidth issues, not to mention means I can’t play till the next day at the soonest, the official servers showed up for a few days. I played yesterday, but today, all official servers are “Invalid” AGAIN. The only way to show them is to select, “show invalid servers”, and I cannot connect to them.
Installed Mods:
NA
Steps to Reproduce:
Select Play Online
Notice there are no Official Servers Showing
Click, “Show Invalid Servers”
Pine longingly over the server you can’t connect to.
Upon uninstalling and reinstalling, I can now get back on to the server… But instead of being returned to my character and build, it brings me to create a new one.
This is the second update in a row that Funcom does not push the patch release on Game Pass for PC.
It really sux.
If you update a game, please update everywhere.
Cause the DedicatedServerLauncher updates so now my server is the new version, but gamepass is on the old.
Last time, the only fix was to download the game again. It takes HOURS!
so thanks once again for messing up our game night.
It’s not the xbox app issue. Whoever manages the files for this game is not pushing the patch to the servers, only the full install.
This is the second update in a row that only the full install is available. MS Store version (the one you buy) has the update (and can also enable full nudity, game pass version can’t).
I’m also not certain if the patched files eventually need to be checked by the Xbox/Microsoft Game/Live Service before being applied to the people inheriting it.
But I do see and understand the “rage”, since it’s quite common that the Xbox/Microsoft Store users report stuff here about different versions and such.
It is an issue with Gamepass (Microsoft), and has nothing to do with Funcom. Multiple titles are also experiencing the same issue. This issue has existed for well over a year (since Beta);
Thanks for the link. It was an interesting read.
But i still think that Funcom should make sure that the update gets out everywhere at the same time. This isn’t a new problem so i think it’s bad that they kick out some of the playerbase.
one fix would be so that I could do a rollback on my server and my steam to the earlier version so that I can play with my friends on gamepass.
