I always see you in here, in these cheater debates.
You constantly say that you should submit a ticket, but have you been living under a rock for the last 2 years? Funcom doesnt do ANYTHING at all regarding these tickets, funcom, zendesk whatever you want to call it.
There have been cheaters on official pvpers playing on the SAME accounts for +6 months even with alot of reports and nothing happened, not even a response, so stop making people wasting their time thanks.
I have prefaced that this is the only recourse we have and that it’s debatable on effectiveness. I didn’t say it would elicit action.
If no one reports though, how are they supposed to know there’s a continued problem?
On the subject of tickets, the only ones they seem to be actioning in a reasonable amount of time are purchases. While I’m certainly not going to downplay the seriousness of hacking, the other problems are not getting the attention they need either. It’s not until A LOT of people come forth in every space for a sustained amount of time that FC starts to really act > case in point: the bugged instance of player character models crashing servers. That was months and months in its making with tickets galore.
So fellow PVPer, better start rallying the troops. I think it would be much more effective rather than choosing to come out here after 5 months to ping me; but I think this is a low hanging fruit situation. Much easier. Which is unfortunate since we’ve all been there and should at least be in solidarity?
If you want to waste your time on a private server that also eventually gets hacked then that is your choice. Playing on private servers in this context are avoidance. Since the hacking issue is a multiplayer problem and not simply a PVP Official problem and all.
The solution is for FC to do something (that something carrying a lot of weight) and we both know they are not meeting basic expectations.
Private servers are your best chance for a fair pvp experience but with the caveat that private servers often poof or wipe on a regular basis. So you lose your stuff regardless.
As far as official pve servers go I’ve come to realize that it’s hilarious that someone is paying real money to delete my pixels when 1, I do so myself anyway when I start a new playthrough and 2, I easily and quickly replace it all for free while enjoying doing so.
To be blunt I hope these morons are dumb enough to pay hundreds of dollars a month for their hacks for the rest of their lives. The only thing that would make it better is if I were the one selling them the hacks.
