One explanation why bases are dissapearing

I just started a 2nd sever on Conan Exiles called Conans Clan Everyone Welcome. In the server settings there is a setting that reads,
PoiProtectionEnabled
Periodically check the surroundings of points of interest (e. g. Obelisks). Buildings found blocking access to these resources will be automatically destroyed.
So if I turn this on it will randomly check all points of interest on the game and if your base is blocking then poof it`s gone or kicked in decay, not sure of which.
I am leaving this off on my servers cause I’m easy going however maybe this helps players understand that poof there goes your base can also be automatic. Funcom warned us about this in the update so I knew to look for it.
Hope this helps to explain a few bases disappearing.

To make matters less certain, the POIProtection appears to set itself to active, no matter the ServerSettings.ini.

Although, after the 2.8 update, my log entries no longer have these entries, so the system may be, temporarily, disabled:

[2021.12.20-09.02.39:499][ 1]ConanSandbox:Display: - ‘PoiProtection’ : 1
[2021.12.20-09.02.39:499][ 1]ConanSandbox:Display: - ‘EventsSystem’ : 1

Question, does your ServerSettings.ini have a double entry for the POIProtection?

sVACEnabled=True
ServerModList=
InitialPurgeDelay=15.000000
BuildingPickupEnabled=True
ServerMergeOutgoingTime=0
ServerMergeDestination=
PoiProtectionEnabled=false
PoiProtectionEnabled=false
EventSystemEnabled=true

No just one entry.

i suspected this for some as well. Especially ifbthe ghost cha8ned all thier bases. That means they have the same id. So if that id shows up un poi radar, poof all gone. This is great way you counter the exploit of linking bases across a huge area to make refresh easier by using and then deleting sand stone foundations.

Yes exactly I believe that`s what happening to some bases. When they first started this then there could have been a few glitches that took out a few good bases, im guessing. I think it will be good when they get it full steam ahead. Lots of players on this forum think aa admin poofed there base but here is another explanation.

But it sounds like the log stopped showing that the system was on post 2.8, so it wouldn’t explain any of the more recent “poofs.”
