I a still having the same problem too. I can play the game for about 20 minutes and then the game will crash. Then when I try to restart the game it will tell me I need to verify the game as a file is corrupted, After I verify the game files I will go through the same thing again.

We heard back from the team and after their investigation, they concluded that some ā€œhiddenā€ files on windows might be causing the issue.

The suggested solutions are to reinstall Windows or reinstall the game on another partition.

As Windows might be creating ghost files inside the game location and those files remain even after reinstalling the game. These ghost files are not checked by using ā€œverify filesā€ on Steam as Steam is limited by file size when performing the verification.

Bug Description:

I launch the game from the launcher and while the cinematic is running I get a fatal error popup, the game will continue to launch and I can join a server but the game crashes after about 5 minutes.

I have uninstalled the most recent windows update, uninstalled my mods and reinstalled them, verified the game files.

Bug Description:

Hello, I report an issue that wonā€™t let me play. Iā€™m playing Co-op with my husband, but for a couple of days, after logging in, the game crashes and the message is the following:

ā€œPak file corrupt or tampered with. Please use steam option ā€˜Verify integrity of game filesā€™ to repair game install. Exitingā€¦ā€

I point out that:

  1. I have no mods installed, nor have I ever had;
  2. My husband can play without problems;
  3. I have been playing with my husband for a long time, on the same game world, and this happened suddenly.

What Iā€™ve already tried to do is:

  1. Verify the integrity of the game steam files (done many times) ā†’ No results
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the game (done several times) ā†’ No results
  3. Update the latest graphics drivers ā†’ No results

I tried searching on the internet, but I didnā€™t find any linear solution to the issue. Could you please help me since these crashes are preventing us from playing?
Especially now that Age of War 4 is about to begin.

Unfortunatelly, this bug does not occur under specific circumstances.
After logging in, I may crash after 2-5 minutes. Regardless of what I do: travel, craft, fight, sit still.
Also, it not happens in one specific location, as we have moved in multiple directions. So I canā€™t indicate a specific ā€œtriggerā€ā€¦
I can only say that at first, it crashed after about 20-30 minutes of playing, but after that it became more and more frequent until it stopped me from playing at all.

Try playing without battleye. Turning it off fixed most of my issues I just canā€™t play on official servers .
