Transfers!!!

well it’s cool that whatever the problem with the stormglass is fixed; but I hope the Aesir doors will also be fixed soon, and as well as the L stairs in general

also nothing about Living Settlements ?

edit: so that’s literally it, this is way smaller than a mere letter patch in DotA 2

@Kikigirl I know a lot of folks are happy about transfers. I hope folks realize that transfers being enabled means that there is server consolidation coming.

Server consolidation is sorely needed, but folks should be aware that they will be forced to move if they are on a server to be retired.

yes , exactly what i want for a long time

What’s the situation with the partnership with GPortal? The servers they host are absolutely terrible, yet they’re still advertising them. Even without mods, the game sends an enormous amount of data; I’d like to see some communication regarding server stability and the future of the partnership with GPortal. Bloated Game.db files, littered with old and faulty data that has to be fixed using complex scripts. Mods are what keep the game going – what’s the situation there regarding more support, improvements and the further performance enhancements that have been announced? I’m really missing significant improvements, including in conjunction with GPortal as the ā€˜advertising host’. Server transfers are great, don’t get me wrong, but what about improving server stability across the board? Character transfers surely won’t be the last of it, I hope?

Yes, definitely something to be concerned about and luckily is being addressed, impressed with the forethought actually.

It literally says they will be announcing the rest of the patch soon this was just a small part of it

Sorry, but where do they say that? I fail to see

Sure, but it would be great to have at least a timeframe… I prefer to have up-to-date backups as a Serveradmin and before every patch I’d like to be able to prevent a disaster at least a day in advance. I don’t think this silence is just overwhelming for me. What’s coming is great – I’m not complaining about that – but a bit more feedback and some timelines would be cool, just so we know roughly when to expect a few issues and can prepare for them. I’m reminded of the bugs with the Foundations, which were a complete disaster… or the lost bartenders… I really don’t want to just moan here; I just want to point out once again that good communication is absolutely vital when looking back at the past. This isn’t meant to be hateful it’s just a friendly reminder. I don’t want to go into too much detail so as not to drag this thread out unnecessarily, but it would be great for a lot of loyal players here if we could go into a bit more detail soon. We have a few cases where bugs have suddenly disappeared, and we have absolutely no idea why, or whether they’ve actually gone, because we’re not getting any feedback. Will the next update take months? Setting a timeframe would be the right way to say, ā€œHey, we’re still here and with you!ā€ That’s what I was getting at.

Congrats, Funcom! I actually like the rules and limitations for official server transfers.

That said, private servers are probably going to feel the impact…
I can already see people advertising: ā€œLevel up your character here, then transfer!ā€
Or spinning up local servers with boosted/infinite resources just to prep characters and move them into popular private servers.

No serious private server is going to allow that.
Imagine someone showing up stacked with maxed thralls, purge workers, and basically infinite gear :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

So yeah! Props to Funcom for including the option to block transfers on private servers right out of the gate.

So yeah they make a new update and might have fixed the Golem Glitch

But why are you guys not addressing the hack and even the possibility to report these hackers? You still get ZERO response when you try to report someone, and you still do NOTHING to fix the blatant hacking on the official servers

Thanks so much, that was unexpected. Finally I can reacquire the siptah recipes

Is it bad to say I miss the old hacks? At least a few years ago you stood a chance against a hitbox pulling speed hacker. Since 1 click kill (shown here Xetal? - Clipped Conan Exiles with Medal.tv) and knowledge ripping characters the game has been near unplayable on officials.

Old hacks was at least manageble  now i am happy if a ā€œhackerā€ is speedhacking or lagswitching, i feel like they are legit players now.

I just think its really sad for the whole PvP and also PvE community that they dont even talk about it, they just completely ignore it, not trying to fix it.

Before atleast i could use time of recording and get them banned, but not anymore - no response at all.

Removed Schematic Fragments from Avatar of Bokrug loot table… and why you did it?? I collected these fragments! Wasted time and resources. And now you just deleted them! Does fancom have such jokes?
