DECEMBER UPDATE 2025 PATCH NOTES

Feature Updates

  • Sorcery:

    • More efficient Sacrificial Blood harvesting.

      • Bottling sacrificial blood now yields 3 bottles, up from 1.

      • Sorcerer Thralls now provide a benefit to the efficiency of Sacrificial Altar recipes that process raw Sacrificial Blood: +25% result items per thrall tier. A T4 thrall doubles the outcome of the craft.

    • Sorcerous Alchemy, allowing the transmutation of materials into other materials.

    • Three new summoning rituals are available at the Chalk Circle, once the player has unlocked them via the Tome of Kurak (they are not unlocked at the same time):

      • Summon Traitor of Blood - Summon a non-aggressive demon who will trade resources in bulk for Blood. His time in this world is limited once summoned.

      • Summon It That Hunts - Summon an enigmatic bestial entity willing to provide exclusive hunting services… If you can figure out what it is that it wants.

      • Summon Avatar of Bokrug - A dangerous ritual that manifests an avatar of the potent god Bokrug. Be warned - it is powerful enough to break through the protections built into the Chalk Circle, and highly aggressive.

  • We’ve taught the Exiles how to dodge-roll. And then, very carefully, instructed them not to be annoying about it.

  • The “Thrall Trader” knowledge is purchasable at level 30 (requires Thrall Taker) for 5 points. This unlocks the construction of 2 new objects via the Construction Hammer: Thrall Selling Cage and Animal Selling Post. These objects allow for the sale of in-world human, golem, or animal followers for Gold Coins.

Quality Of Life Changes

  • Building with the construction hammer now uses resources carried by your follower. No more overencumbering yourself before building that extension onto your base!

  • Starting recipes at a crafting station will now automatically pull resources from your inventory. Less fiddling around with items, more making the thing you want.

  • Numerous improvements to sorcery, including but not limited to:

    • Faster casting with the Arcane Staff.

    • Unified and reduced casting requirements (no more carrying around 3 different tiers of pouches).

    • All tier 1 spells have their reagent cost removed.

    • Sorcerer thralls will provide benefits at the Sacrificial Stone (more efficient Sacrificial Blood harvesting).

    • Rebalanced and accelerated Tome of Kurak progression.

    • Significantly reduced penalty when using Transporter Stones. The corruption debuff after travelling has been shortened to 10 seconds and now applies a much smaller amount of corruption.

Black Lotus Bazaar

New items have been added to the Bazaar. Please note that these will be offered on rotation and not everything will be available in the store at the same time:

  • New Pictish treehouse building set

  • New Hairstyle with the Yamatai Samurai Bundle!

  • Cimmerian Blacksmith Set

  • Tortage Brawler Set

  • Argossean Stargazer Props

  • Stygian Sorcerer Props

  • Liu Fei Bedroom props

  • Kambujan Fighter Set

  • Worker Clothing Set

  • Barachan Castaway bundle with new Tavern Bar

  • Kumbujan Rhino Mount

  • Turanian Tiger Pet Bundle

  • New Emotes with Drunken Brawl theme

  • Return of Battle Pass items in Several bundles

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed several building-related server crashes.

  • Improved purge spawning:

    • Fixed the purge “owned landclaim” detection so that it cannot spawn the Forward Operating Base on the edge of an unrelated player’s landclaim. This fixes the issue where players could trigger a purge within range of another player’s base and harass them.

    • Significantly increased the density of checked points when searching for a spot to place the Forward Operating Base, making it more likely to find a usable location by being more thorough in the search.

  • Fixed numerous DLC items’ dye functionality and rendering issues.

Known Issues

  • Elevators are not currently buildable via the Construction Hammer, but can still be crafted at their respective workbench and then placed from the hotbar.

hey funcom im dissapointet in their is so little bugfixes in this patch i was hoping for some major bugfix on this update becuse i dont think you guys gonna give more update out this year for whats their is left of it 2-3 weeks. i was hopeing for some critical bugs getting fixed.

That’s some surprising, but promising changes!

The Thrall Selling Cage and the Animal Selling Post look like an awesome addition, genuinely something the game needed. Hopefully, it’s a good sign of what’s coming next:

  • Bench thralls have always been the best loot you could pull from a raid. It’d be amazing if, at some point, we could capture them. Maybe killing a “leader” unlocks the ability to capture the others? Something with a bit more risk. Not only knocking them…

  • Being able to buy and sell followers might finally be the first step toward actual in-game trading. Maybe one day, taverns could evolve into real marketplaces where players exchange items

The sorcery changes sound really good! I love the sacrificial blood change so much!! :star_struck:

ps. Currently I cant interact with the Warmakers sanctuarys door (from the outside world)… has something changed?

Cool new features. Still no fix for Living Settlements or falling though foundations/floors eh? Nice.

Yeah, not gonna lie. These bugs have lasted way too long.

Also still sometimes stuck on the floor when logging in…

Well… it’s something I guess, but is it exciting ? aint holding my breath

First impression:

  • [Update: This seems to be mod-related. Some recipes from mods don’t work, either.] “Summon Traitor of Blood” and “Summon It That Hunts” don’t work for me. The recipes are displayed at the circle, but the “craft” button is greyed out, even if all the necessary materials are in the station, just as if some material was still missing. Maybe there’s an unlisted material required?
  • “Summon Avatar of Bokrug” does work. It destroys the summoning circle, but that might be intentional.
  • The NPC dodge rolling seems to work, too.
  • The transmutation recipes look a bit expensive, but they do work. Not a viable way to avoid farming rare materials, but may help out in a pinch if you’re only missing a single item or some resource is unavailable for whatever reason.
  • Game and mods [Update: With some exceptions apparently] seem okay. Had some stuttering after loading the world, but after that, all ran smoorthly.

Tested on PC, single player, lots of mods.

P. S.: Telith’s Ghost still missing.

I tested Traitor and It That Hunts myself, they spawned alright on my end. If you admin spawned the required items through console commands, you do have to leave and re-open the inventory for the station to detect the resources in your inventory.

you mean like the critical bug of zamorian barkeepter that not take any damage and are immortal and used to grief others players on pvp server and stay forever near cage on map of all servers………

the worst its that this one is probably very easy to fix

I feel like this is one of the better updates.

So I built the thrall Trading Post and the animal Trading Post and I cannot figure out how to use them. When I move something into the window it tells me that item cannot be moved. So how do you put the thrall in the trading station?

Put the thrall into the world, then move them into the ghost position inside the cage, like you would when you put an archer on an archer post. You can then interact with the board/chest and set the sale price at the top

Thank you. Thats so silly to have to do it that way. Should just be able to pop it into the inventory. This method uses up precious follower counts. :roll_eyes:

If it was an inventory drop then we wouldn’t be able to sell any thralls or pets already placed, this way we at least can sell those that already are placed and those we have stored, but yeah I get it that they could have made them not count once inside that cage, but depending on how they do it, players will find ways to exploit it, it’s human nature :joy:

Is it truly a bug?
I mean lots of people could have problems getting them back alive to their base if they were killable since they have no stats and not much health, I could totally see a possible fix by setting cage thralls on a cool down timer like fx 30 minutes where they only are able to follow you in that time :slight_smile:

I didn’t even consider being able to sell higher level thralls.

Tome of Nergal…. What does it do?? I made one and can’t figure out what it’s for LOL. It’s not a decoration. And I don’t have a used option.
