Quick additional info on the well fix patch note entry:
These harvesting mechanics were re-coded and also includes fishtraps and beehives.
So we would love to get feedback from your side if any of these still give you troubles.
Thanks a lot in advance!
The problem is that it’s not just a matter of the purge spawning. Even if the update frequency is changed to work as (supposedly) intended, it will still be nearly impossible for small clans or solo players to get humanoid purges unless all they do, all day long, is build “purge bait” structures out in the desert. And all this ignores the reality of the single player game, which is completely broken when it comes to virtually all aspects of the purge mechanics.
They need to fix the meter, yes. But until they have thrall AI that actually works correctly, they also need to remove offline purges (require at least 1 member of the clan to be online at the time) and they need to address how humanoid purges work, or make these rare thralls and drops (like legendary weapon repair kits) available in some other way.
This patch introduced a new bug here. On my server (PVE, no ownership on crafting stations) when a base decays and you destroy locked chests or crafting stations, you can loot items dropped from them. Since this hotfix when trying to loot bags it says I do not own this. Server settings did not change.
Thanks for putting forth a survey, added some constructive feedback for ya!
As for other issues…
On PvE server #1502, I’ve only ever seen 1 purge, and it was for another clan. That was well over a month ago, and I’ve personally leveled two characters from 1-60, another clanmate has hit 60, and we’ve constructed 4 bases, and several smaller outposts. Between the 3 of us, we probably put in a good 10 hours a day during the week, and significantly more on the weekends. Since then, I know of only 1 purge that has hit any of our bases: it occurred over a month ago during the day while we were all at work, and there’s been nothing since.
If this is only a gPortal problem, could you please provide them some technical assistance? As it is now, there is 0% chance for us to get a named Alchemist, a Blacksmith capable of making ledgendary repair kits, or the like. Also, it’s a downer not being able to see how well our defensive strategies pan out. Indeed named thralls barely ever seem to spawn anymore, especially at the Black Galleon.
I like your offer. It may be worthwhile to separate the mechanics of purge work for single player and multiplayer games.
Indeed, if the purge didn’t work when the clan is not online, it would be great. Many have a night at a time when purge may appear. For working people, this is a very big problem.
Many do not need this content. I want to enjoy the game and not work in it.
Therefore, remove the purge at a time when there is no player in the network and remove the automatic increase in purge progress. That would be the solution to all problems. You’re right
For the love of all that is good and holy in this world, please tell us that the console patch is at least in certification now. I understand that we’re your red-headed stepchild here, but still…
When will the not working clothes and hair physics be fixed? It doesn’t work for me on SP for more then a year now! And several people reported this bug since then! I want the wind to blow my hair again!
Named thralls on stations are not showing all of the items they can craft. For instance most armorers are not showing all of the flawless sets if using a t4 armorer in the station.
Just out of curiosity, how large and active is your clan? Are you actively building large structures around the world, or are you just a couple of guys at level 60 that just do some occasional farming, hunting bosses / players (the typical end-game stuff). I’m wondering if part of this is that the purge meter can reduce over time for “less active” clans, and this is a consequence of that.
My personal experience on an official server, playing (mostly, at this point) solo, is that I don’t seem to “do enough stuff”, whatever that may be, that causes a continuous increase in the purge meter. Maybe this is partly by design to focus the purges on large, active clans that are building all over the map. But that also means that unless I plan on spamming sandstone buildings everywhere (which I won’t do) it seems unlikely that I’ll ever see a purge again.
mind asking them to move the “you are over encumbered message” again when you’re in an inventory? it covers all the buttons like “repair” / “take all” etc. (1080p pc) when’re you’re in an inventory i dont think theres a need for that banner at all since your encumbrance appears in your inventory anyways.
