Gamepass allows you to switch between PC and Xbox. All dlc, saves etc carry over.

But the question is why? Their system is already established in a FC ID now and at this point in the life of the game, folks just wonât go and buy all the DLCâs again for a new system and therefore slowly shut the door on their access to the game. This would mean they are also removing themselves from the temptations of the storefront as well.
By allowing cross-platform continuation, you are putting the store in front of folks in every aspect of their gaming life. It makes no sense to not do it for a live service game. Itâs been over a year since the transition, its time the company acknowledged their new path and maximize it for both sales continuation and customer QoL

Sony isnât cheap. I would guess it costs real money to sling a Sony license vs there are (I know) various incentives a software dev can get for driving more participation in PC or XBOX. Heck, as a Microsoft Partner, Iâm being offered a Free Lifetime Gold for every new XBOX I sell (if I did that), just looking at the May tables.

Ah, this thread reminds this one that they need to go sniffing around for some villains to grief again soon. Choice prey has been anemic for several months now and this one is not inclined to migrate over to XBoX just to engage in babyâs first digital psy-op.
But credit where credit is due, XBoX always was good for having a sufficiently populated pit to mosh in.
Hopefully Mullet Mad Jack gets a massive multiplayer arena one day. That would be fun for a quick rage-gasm.
There are many many decisions made at many levels in regards to this game that such a question applies to. This is far from an isolated head scratcher.
The âmonetization expertâ leaves money on the table constantly in favour of the most banal variety of industry standard attempts at profiteering.

But thatâs just it, they could convert these ownerships to the FC ID accounts and drop the DLC aspects from the PS Store to make it completely Crom Coin dependent purchasing and the PS store is still required for the conversion between real $ to CC. I donât see how Sony would have a problem there outside of the potential bureaucracy of the megacorp getting in the way.

Delisting items from Sonyâs store has been a bit of wibble in the past.
Also, migrating the DLCs to the Funcom ID would also put them in the same category as the Bazaar and Battle Pass items, in that the ability use them would be stripped when offline.
That change, going from persistent availability to dependent availability may be the variety of legal worm can Sony doesnât want to kick, especially after the hornet nest of Helldiverâs 2 just stung the cluck out of them

I play on Xbox servers using game pass cloud gaming on my PC. Itâs a great alternative. Just sucks that Microsoft made it so you canât stream a game if itâs installed. I had to make a second windows account to switch back and forth so I can have it installed and play cloud back and forth. I have also purchased the game through steam. But most of the hours Iâve played were on the Xbox app version.
