I got logged into our private server but was returned to character creation. What a sinking feeling in my stomach. Please fix, I was really having fun and making good progress.
Is this due to the switch from the Steam User ID to whatever the Funcom User ID is? How was this not thought of when implementing this big of a change? I love this game, but damn.
I appreciate the update and all the potential fixes. I just hope it gets fixed soon so we can get back in there. I just bought DLC too. So it would stink to have this big of a let down after that.
Can we get an official poll for who wanted the thralls nerfed 33-50%?? I don’t know anybody who was screaming for the thralls to be weakened by half. I’d be willing to guess 1% of the PVP player base would want this change. That means you are dissing 99% of the actual PVP players with this update.
That’s before we even talk about all the players who are unable to even be able to log on after this update. Lets get that poll up and talk about it.
I think given people are still having massive launch failures and there has already been one patch onto this patch the sensible thing should be a rollback now until you can get this patch ready for live.
After the last update, our modlist is ok, I’ve been able to try it in solo with a new DB, everything is working fine… But with the server db, it crashes. I’ve tried with several DB from the last few days.
An other server of a friend of mine is working fine, is online but we are stuck in a infinite loggin trying to join it.
According to your patch notes this was done?? Fixed an issue where players could get stuck inside a rhino’s mesh.
After fighting some rhinos I can comfortably say this is not the case as a matter of fact it is worse than what it was before the patch. Thralls also get stomped right into the ground and cant move even with rhinos now. I am specifically talking about the rhino type creatures in the jungle.
Whole problem is the desire of the PVP community vs the PVE community, the most obvious solution would be to make a thrall Power slider for server settings and then have it higher for pvp as the community wishes and lower for PVE.
so, when are you fixing this? I mean, this is a critical issue, it has stopped the game from working for an entire day, and it has blocked tons of players due to nonsensical crashes. I know that this is due ot removing Denuvo, but then again anyone who understands even the slightest about Denuvo has told u not to do that sht, and you’ve did it anyway. Now we, legit players, are paying the price, yet again, because you can’t seem to remove your own DRM trap… I mean, ask help of crackers, idk, do something lol
Setting aside the hostile tone and the oversimplification of facts, the Windows 10 vs. Windows 7 discussion is beside the point.
EOL for Windows 7 means that there should be no further updates from Microsoft. That, in turn, means that whatever is wrong with this update should not be a problem whose solution relies on support from Microsoft. The problem is with the update.
If Funcom decides to drop the support for Windows 7 as a platform, that’s their choice and we have to deal with it. Until they do so, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect them to fix the problem that manifests on computers running Windows 7.
Or, if you prefer a shorter way to say all this:
Stop blaming people for using the platform that Funcom supports.
I have been in I.T. for 25+ years, and have used every version of windows ever. There is NOTHING in 7 that isnt in 10. Its just moved to a different place. Your ignorance to facts is astounding.
Hmmmm… No, I doubt you’ve ever worked with I.T. in your entire life. Win8 is considered the worse by any geek since it was released, and it in fact is one of the worse, 10 is still highly debatable due to extending some functions, but it’s still crap and comes with malware terms and conditions, pure garbage. Until they present a decent windows more akin to 7, like 7 was akin to XP/2000 (which were far superior to Vista), I’ll keep using Win7, and if you are angry about that, go tell daddy.
Funcom has the obligation to support win7 due to many things, and if they want to cut it, they must announce it first, legally speaking.
Now, a “25+ year” professional person wouldn’t be rage-flipping over the internet over such an issue and behaving like a toddler, if you really are what you’ve claimed, I’m really concerned about your mental health, go seek help ASAP.
you all arguing over a platform isn’t helping anyone get anything fixed… all it’s doing is making it harder for anyone actually reporting issues right now to get there issues noticed. if you don’t like that someone uses out of date software that’s your issue if they want to use that software that’s there’s it’s not an issue to be argued about in a forum trying to get the fixes we all need to play the game
Wrong, none of us NEED to play the game, we all WANT to play the game. Oh and by the way I am currently playing … my server is running just fine after the last update. Windows 10 FTW!!!
