Even updating from testlive version got a 34,2 GB download, ouch.
But I think itās a steam change, Iāve noticed other games download bigger patches nowadays.

Can anyone from the staff please tell us WHY is this new update 100+GB? and dont tell me the reason is the DLC cuz 100+GB is your WHOLE GAME !?
The reason for this is how steam handles updates.
The actual file package delivered from funcom is little less than 60gigs.
The reason why steam reserves for its install a bit more than 102gigs the process of steams download/unpack/install mechanism.
First steam downloads the file package to your local drive, after this it unpacks the package to a different folder than it was downloaded to.
This is why you see almost the doubled file size (downloaded packed & unpacked installed).

All that you āexplainedā is that the file is compressed , i knew that, what i wanna know is WHY 60 download > 100 GB install , this is an update iām not downloading the whole game again , it makes no sense

On a side note the update process of Ark: survival evolved is even worse than Conan exiles.
In Ark files donāt only get downloaded and unpacked to a different directory, but additionally installed in a third directory.

we are not questioning the Proceeds , we are questioning the SIZE of this update , do you understand that ONE update is the size of the whole game and its previous DLCās? like, if you dont understand that , iām not even saying anything anymore lol
I have two questions:
- If this is a DLC why do I need it to play the base game?
- Does Funcom or Steam think everyone or even a majority of their customers are on Gigabit internet? Out in the rural communities, this will take anywhere from 2 to 4 days maxing out the available download.
