Performance Issues on PC / Framerate

Hi everyone,
first of all thanks for reading all the stuff incoming :slight_smile: I love the game and bought it ages ago as it was still TSW, but stopped playing due to no free time. So yesterday I’ve reinstalled it as “Legends” and have huge performance issues (Spikes, fps drops down to 8 - 10). Have read a lot of stuff here already searching for help and tried out following things already -

  1. Downloading full installer - my SWL Folder is about 34 GB right now.
  2. Changing the Video Options to 0 and lowering resolution
  3. Switching directX 9 / 11
  4. Cutting of 2 of the 4 CPU’s for the game
  5. Running it in Win 7 Compatibility starting .exe as an Admin
  6. changing the graphic preferences from standard to ultimate special Nvidia ^^
    Also updated all the drivers etc.

So my Laptop is about a year old, and though it surely is no Titan, I’ve played DeusEx-Mankind Divided and 2nd newest Tomb Raider on it with medium+ graphics without further issues. Is there any way to help with the performance beside the things I’ve already tried?

This is an integrated video card. It doesn’t quite meet the minimum requirements to play Secret World Legends. You may be able to get the game running, but it is likely that you will see performance issues. Most laptops have integrated Intel cards to be used when power conservation is important. You often see a second graphics card in laptops like this for when high performance is desired. Are you sure you don’t have another graphics card in your laptop? If so, we’ll want to have your computer select that card instead of the Intel card.

Hello Umboris, thanks for the quick reply : ) Seems i have forgotten to copy&paste the 2nd one -

NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
Display Memory: 4095 MB

I have already switched the graphic settings using the second card. Thats what i meant in 6. Would 940MX work for SWL?
