Bug Description:
Random items I pick up or take from any source become impossible to use because after I place them in my inventory I can’t put them anywhere as they return to the same inventory slot after 0.5 sec. I’ve tried to respawn and then pick them up but nothing chages. I’ve lost multiple items like rare golem parts, endgame tools, treasures, resources and pets due to this bug as you can’t neither use nor place the bugged items anywhere so you have to drop them. 6 years after release and this game is still in pre-alpha condition.
Do you have any sorting options on in the inventory? If sorting is enabled…items cannot be moved and will ‘snap’ back to where they should be in sorting order.
I could be related to sorting as other have filed reports of weird behavior when sorting was enabled. i.e. cannot move/equipt items. However, I recall seeing a ‘fix’ for the sorting issues.
But, if sorting is not enabled and you are experiencing this problem then I suppose we have another issue…which is not really surprising.

Yesterday while playing with @Kazalakis on 8007, i will remove the armor from the thrall. I wanted to explain to my friend how useful thralls can be on the event boss fights as long as they don’t wear armor and fight with you wearing the tattoo only.
I manually put the three armor pieces on thralls inventory since the other 2 slots were weapon and food.
I again manually retrieve the other two pieces of armor. When i tried to put them in my horse inventory, they were instantly returning in my inventory. So i toss them to the ground and @Kazalakis pick them up and store them to his horse without issues . So like i said it’s a funny bug, it will happen to each player, in different forms or situations and only in specific items. Keep in mind that i was putting items and remove items from my horse for hours, it just happened to these 2 specific armor pieces.
So far @sestus2009 and @Egis511 had these issues in specific servers only too, not on all of them. But the most complains so far was in Siptah, not exile lands. Yet we play on PlayStation, not pc. But we randomly suffer with this bug that has “funny reaction”.

The guy above was right. It is a sorting system bug. Here is how it happens. 1st half the sorting is enabled (heavy first). 2nd half sorting is disabled. This time it happened on oasis E7-E8 when I took pets from armored animal pen, but before I had this bug in different places.
Set your inventory option from “Short by” to “Not shorted” and you will be able to solve your problems.
If the issue persists clean a slot from your gear wheel and drop the piece you can’t equip. Then access the dropped loot bag and add that gear item to your weapon wheel to either equip, store to a storage and transfer to a thrall or work bench. But during the add process from the loot bag to gear wheel avoid adding or passing the target items from or to your inventory.
i got things disapearing of my inventory, like resources, e.g. im building and has 1000 wood, suddanelly …pufff… you have no wood. I manaeged to solve it giving all my inventory to a chest then the itens re-appears. Its a recurring error and it anoying
