after AOW pets damage got nerfed too much to the point they are now entirely useless.im addressing this now because I was waiting for funcom to fix this issue with a hotfix, but two hotfixes already released but still no fix. Pets got a health boost but still damage is way too low, compared to thrall counterparts Even the greater versions of pets have about 3x or 4x less damage per an attack. considering that thrall do about 5 to 6 combos (depending on their weapon) which increase their damage per second and most attacks of most pets have a single shot per an attack (except for few attacks like elephant or rhino charge etc.) which does less damage per second.
yes, thralls now have very low health compared to pets, but one can equip them with some good armor they will take a beating even better than pets with high health. Although this was an issue even before AOW update it wasn’t that bad to make hassle.
I’m a dedicated server owner.in my server we keep only greater versions of pets.im facing this new issue between player who prefer to use pets vs player who prefer to use thralls. pets even die from bunch of regular npcs while thralls kill those same npcs easily. Thralls are fine problem is with pets damage. Now as fix i changed server settings “ThrallDamageToPlayersMultiplier” and “ThrallDamageToNPCsMultiplier” back to 1 from 0.5 to increase pets damage, which made thralls way overpowered to a point they do about 2X or 3x damage compared to players. So now the players with thralls don’t even get involve in fights cuz they don’t have to. Why would they? All they have to do is just sit on their horses and watch damn fight like they don’t even care. they literally just watch the fight like watching some kind of action movie without doing anything. I know that’s a my problem not yours funcom. but what I’m saying is fix the damage of the pets would ya.
Yep, if we compare with real life. I’m gonna give benefit of the doubt with funcom.I think this was a mistake. There is no mention in AOW update note about nerfing pet damage.
Welcome to the Forum. Appreciate the post. Playing mostly on official servers. However I should change settings on our private Exiles server to help the players their with their pets hadn’t changed much in several years. @shane
Thanks @sestus2009 . As much as I like to do it on my privet server the problem is, there is no specific settings that could find just for pets. How do you plant to do that? Do you know any settings for pets damage.
Aware of that. Being as we started our server as a learning experience for players right after the game started ps4 and you could not see your body after you died one of the first Conan-Exi glitches we made it easy for newcomers have had some that come leave started up after a a new update. Don’t care if there are over powered thralls if it is a issue some one will send us a message. Have been know to hand a Goddesses over the years. If making pets worthy of having don’t believe any one on our server will care
If we spent more time on it probably would have done it already. Yes a separate setting would be the perfect solution. Have not been on Gportal site in a long time doubt the have any thing new have you looked into in game settings will check out tomorrow.
