Problem: Bug
Region: US
When ever I create a female character and change the height to anything besides default it breaks the physics for clothes and the chest when nude or wearing armor quite commonly. Its usually fine at first or even when first logging on, but if I change my armor at all things physics stop. (Also immediately after I die physics will work really well for a few minutes. Not sure why)
Steps on how to reproduce issue:
Create a character
Change height
Put on some armor that would normally have physics (like the aquilonian dlc light armor) and play a little bit
Thanks a lot for the report and including the cause! I believe this was noted down as “fixed” for PC but I’ll double check the report and see if that included PS4 as well or not. I’ll report it that it is still occurring just in case. Thanks again!
don’t think it has anything to do with height, (I use shortest)
Clothes stop working after a few things. (ps4 anyway) that I notice.
-To much stuff going, combat, massive house collapses.
During weather, and turning camera around to much.
Being in my house, and running around and trying to do to many things at once.
I think in general, the game is ether.
a. turning it off to save resources till it turns back on, (takes abit, it ussally does go back on)
b. it crashes (to much going on) and doesn’t turn on, after it does.
I notice if I log in sometimes, it wont be on right away, and will turn on several mins later.
I agree with a lot of the stuff you said about it stopping when a lot is going on. You maybe be right, but in regards to height if I don’t touch the height slider at all haven’t noticed the issue happening. It was suggested in a youtube video a while back and it seems to work for me.
I saw that video! (or one of them) I tend run shortest, or default (when testing) on 2nd psn.
I tend run Derkito outfit on my test character, its really obvious when it stops working. He he he. XD
Some of my early test, loaded a new character, and loin cloth was stuck in card board mode. Once world around me finished loading, it would turn on.
Then after using admin panel to nab some food and outfit, it would turn off/on moments later.
I helped a friend build a tower into sky for one trophy…and blew bottom up and she pointed out her stuff stop working.
Which also happen when i took my T-rex and brontosaurs down with explosives.
On my ps4 the physics stop working for me as soon as I put on or change even one piece of armor. The physics work fine after first logging on or right after death and continue to work as long as I don’t climb or run or change armor. I can fight or do anything else without affecting the physics but as soon as I start running or climbing or change armor they stop working.
I can harvest and build and destroy buildings with no issues as well just as long as I don’t do the aforementioned.
Another thing I’ve noticed that stops at least the breast physics from working is dismounting from a wall after climbing by pressing triangle, which has been happening for quite a while and still does without fail, so it’s not fixed on PS4 just yet.
My wife and I had the same issue in our private server. Both of us with changed height. We discovered that eliminating the huge and small wheels of pain (all of them in the map) didn’t solve the problem, but after 5-10 minutes the physics did work again. Now, playing on official, I haven’t modified my char heigh (She did) and I have my physics working Always, even when the huge builded areas crash my game, but she still have the physics stopped whenever she equip-unequip a piece of armor, althoug the physics start to work a while later. In this official server I haven’t seen any huge wheel of pain but a lot of small ones.
