On ps4/ps5, the new golem followers are invincible, and cannot be killed by bombs, players, npcs, anything. Some players are abusing this bringing over 3 or 4 golems to a raid which cannot be killed. We have tried to raid some players who have over 15 golems, and it is impossible to raid them or fight them because the golems are invincible, and they can just place the golems where we are bombing and repair. This is a huge issue, ruining pvp and the game. Please fix this immediately.
Welcome to Forum. I read that they are weak to starmetal weapons.
They aren’t invincible but they can deflect your damage if its low. Higher damage weapons or Star Metal (they take extra damage from these) are your best bet.
No. Yet again Taemien, you have no idea what is going on.
There is currently a bug, where the hitbox of the golems seems to disappear. You can’t connect any hits on them, just like the fox from the BP used to be.
Do they start off damageable and the hit box just disappears or are they coming off the presses indestructible?
This one made a golem pretty early on and it’s lost a not inconsiderable number of hp taking it out for stress tests…
But that was back when they first were added and npc vs follower damage sometimes seems to be it’s own thing as opposed to Player Character vs NPC damage.
They start off damageable. But in the course of a raidtime they can turn untouchable due to some bug. Might be related to golems attacking each other, but this is just a wild guess.
That is funny.
I wonder if it is related to the other summoned demons when they turn?
This must be a PS issue. I’ve lost golems to relic hunters; over time. My skinner with the big sword is a bit under 50% HP from hunting rhinos and elephants with me. My wood cutter has taken some damage I have to assume from the close shalebacks. So hardly “invincible”.
Clumsy, ja ja jaj ja jittery, LOUD, but not invincible.
But the new is wearing off fast for me. Rather have a work station I can put a thrall on.
I think you might benefit from some time on PvP officials…
lol
Na, my opinion PVP brings out the worst in people. PVE public servers have issues all their own, but not some place you can some how make invincible golems.
What I mean by this is that there are certain things that are happening, such as invincible golems, that become very apparent by playing on PvP.
Plus a host of other issues that are usually not acknowledged as serious because of the reputation PvPers have.
So ya, it’s happening despite it not happening to you.
Why would golems on PVP suddenly become invincible? Unless it is simply because some one at funcom goofed and left player damage turned off on golems. But Funcom doesn’t make those sort of goofs, right?
Right?
lol yes, they’re completely innocent.
But no that is not what is happening. As described above, through a series of specific events which no one can pinpoint or recreate yet, at some point the golems hitbox becomes null.
Yikes, sounds like you’re describing a legacy bug.
So there was already such a bug with golems?
It’s not our job to pinpoint or recreate it.
There is a problem and that problem needs to be fixed. That is Funcom’s job.
If you are not affected by it: good for you. Does not give you the right to come to the Forums and try to talk it away. This is counter productive.
What would be productive is that you swing your old butt on a PvP server and try to reproduce it for Funcom. Helps the game, you know?
So which is it?
ETA: If the “public beta” servers were up and operational I would. But otherwise, Funcom couldn’t pay me enough to try to do anything on a public PVP server. “No-ah-body gets out of dis shark pit alive”
Sounds either like a misuse of “legacy” or a clever quip about how this will become one of those legacy bugs because there’s no repro.
I took a cursory look and managed to find one bug report, for Xbox:
Maybe people can use that to figure out how to repro the bug?
Or simply shut up if there is no intention of being useful. Instead of going “there is no bug, because it does not happen in my limited gaming experience”.
It’s the same as saying: “It worked on my machine”…
