Worked at a full line pet store so have handled about everything.
Oh I got tagged a few times.
Coral catfish sting put me in the hospital for 2 days; micro bacterial infection.
Lion fish sting did not impress me. Hornet hurts worse.
Dog faced puffer took a pea size chunk out of my hand.
But the worst most bitty blood drawing vermin in the store was
When mom’s asked me what would be a good small pet for a kid I always said

Will 100% advocate for rats over hamsters.
Grew up with a red-tailed boa (Got her at 5 and she’ll probably live for another 10-15 years.) Ma bought a rat, was told it was male and she wasn’t. She was pregnant and Dood (the noodle) refused to eat her.
Long story short my Ma fed the neglected runt out of the litter and he was my pocket buddy for a few years. I think I’ve owned two hamsters in my life, both were mean bastards. Have had probably eight rats and they’re as chill as they are smart.
Uhhh…no.
Had 2 rats, they’re like little puppies

My X learned the hard way bunnies and kitties do not mix.
Had a really nice lamp from the 70’s that had a mirror stand with another light in the bottom. She ate that too. Told my daughters never again.
