Please help - cannot build within my own base now

This week I finally joined online and a server, first time ever played with other players on pve-c and official EU server. It was fun and exciting but now I cannot build within my own base or even move items.

A large aggressive French clan build a huge tall building right next to my base. Could this now have stopped me modifying my base, like a method to cripple me? Or could it be as I am
in the player killer time slot, does that stop building?

Please help me I am a bit stressed as put a lot of work into this base, thanks all

Sound like their buildinging zone and your building zone are overlapped and mixed causing your problem. I would keep the base but start to build a second base somewhere , the trollclan eventually gets tired and quits and you can continue then enlargening the original base.

Unfortunately this is the main pvec troll on official servers . @sestus2009 has a really nice pvec server, without admin abuse which for me is the number one when it comes to private servers. The material cost is low so you can build as much as you like .
However you can always try to speak to them, if they are not accessible or they don’t care sent a ticket to zendesk.

This type of building in close proximity may stop your from expanding your base, but it shouldn’t stop your from building inside of your already established base. You wouldn’t to happen to have been part of a clan than dissolved would you?

I have not run across that perhaps the building radius has been changed although I thought that was only set at initial server setup on gportal site .

You can change it later and it takes effect upon a reboot of the server.

It does and it’s an intended mechanic as funcom even say so.

@JimmyLondon the best way to in the future is to building a wall not connected but close enough to stop this from happening.

Um, no. I’ve had my fair share of building wars. Your claim is a vertical column, and expands a certain radius from that building piece. It get’s kind of weird with opposing buildings having odd corners, but building on top of your established foundations should not be effected. You will run into issues with walls and fences. Outside of that, your clan status changed or your server settings changed.

Well it used to be that way unless they altered in in the last time I was on a official server it was that way but I also guess it depends on base size as one like size of Chicago just the outer part but if you’re base is mostly vertical then the effects would be different as my bases are more vertical that horizontal.

You’re missing what I’m saying. Any single building piece creates an aura of overlap. And if you try to build within some else’s aura you’ll get denied, generally speaking.

I say generally because I think this was altered in some way for Sinners Refuge a while back.

They did do some yes but what I didn’t know. I get what you are saying last time I was on official server was 1 1/2 years ago but due to life issues time was for game’s lessened thus it’s single players ever since thus I’m going off what was last said from devs when they did sinners refuge which they did a few more places like that but I didn’t know what all alterations they did with land claim and last I knew if you built close enough it would take a good chunk of you base but I will take your word for it since I’m not actively on official anymore. Thanks for the information though as that always helps everyone in general

Hello guys sorry for delay posting again. It appears it may at that time have been a glitch, despite me logging on and off and restarting a couple of times. It eventually started working again. However I have given up on that server now as the French clan were cheating somehow getting into my base which was totally secure. I could hear them constantly rolling against parts of my base despite spikes etc and I think they somehow got in doing that. Also I hacked at them with my strongest weapon and gas bombs etc and they took NO damage at all, nor their horses. Not sure if that is another way they are somehow cheating. I am not as experienced as most of you. I had no problem them bombarding my base with fire and gas etc which they did every time, nor them constantly chasing me when they saw me, makes it exciting. But the fact they were cheating getting into my base put me off.

I hope your next server suits you well. Official PvE-C servers have a window of PvP damage, 5 hours a day I think. So it could’ve been any combo of in and out of this window, and it’s regionally specific.

Usually the evening hours, and since I’ve seen the question enough the easiest way to immediately know is checking the player list. There will be an abundance of question marks during PvP hours that hide player identity. Good luck!
