Problem: game breaking bug

A clan that has been trolling me by placing foundations around my base, is now able to build right next to my build and they have taken control of the surrounding land. I cant even build on my own foundations or even inside my home, they have somehow claimed it all. Please, for the love of god help me, Ive moved servers 5 times because of lost bases, I hate to admit it, but Ive been successfully bullied.
Do pillars work better than foundations? Because when i first saw them surrounding me I countered with foundations, but they were able to place thiers in between each of mine, way inside whats supposed to be the proximity
I noticed some changes in the claim radius on our official server. And sometimes I could build closer one day and the next day I couldnât again. It must be either a bug or they are playing with the settings for it on official servers
I have similar problems, not quite as severe. Land claim lines arenât very consistent either. And honestly I wouldnât mind too much if only people on my server would do more than just build giant sand stone boxes.
I mean cmon, youâre on PVE, at least try to get a little creative.
Theyâre able to build within 3 blocks of me, but I cant build within at least 20 of thiers, so their proximity keeps overwriting and taking over mine. And to make things worse theyre mocking me with signs, and demanding payment.
And I thought the same thing when I first started lol, all anyone ever builds is block houses. Before I was being trolled, I was trying to make a small village, not big at all, and I created access to resources (in which thier spawns are now being blocked by the trolls) and stairs leading up so that anyone could come and go quickly.
âThe best of laugh are always at someone else expensesâ i forgot who said that. When I started playing pvp conan I was also naif into thinking I could just build a shack and have epic fights, sadly pvp ainât like that and pve-c is pvp without building destruction.
They should implement a claim system like rust has and totally remove claim from building pieces, they could use flags, we have them in gameâŠ
What you could do is kite big mobs like dragons or wight (glowy skeletons) to the offending building blocks and use the mobs to break those, then kite more and more monsters around their base and leave them a message âhereâs the payment, keep the change you sad sad peopleâ
I would love to come and troll around on pve-c but I play pvp, but my kind of trolling would be that, surrounding people bases with mobs, not that claim overwrite non-sense.
Then of course you have the people who do things like block out shortcuts through areas, take over entire expanses of commonly traveled terrain, ectâŠ
When we built our base we purposefully began building away from the areas where higher traffic occurs, kind of out of courtesy so people wouldnât come on through and then all of a sudden thereâd be a huge wall or building theyâd have to climb over or figure out a way around. Itâs sad to see that there are people who seem to do the exact opposite.
They donât log on during pvp, but when they did, I think is what started it, cause they ganked me, but a group of traveling heroes swooped in from behind me like some kind of comic book and absolutely destroyed them lol, it was after that, that they started foundation blocking me.
And right now theyâre trying to troll me with another account, theyâve gave out hints that itâs them, im not dumb, but this ânewâ player kept trying to gain access to my clan, i recognize the tactic, play newbie then gain access to a guild and then steal or destroy stuff, Ive seen it a ton of times, and they knew where my base was right off the bat, even as a level 4 character, if I wasnt so sick of being bullied, Id probably think it was funny.
I dont know how to counter a troll, so far Ive been stalling, keeping them on that account with conversation, because the more theyâre on that account, the more the decay timer counts down on their stuff around my base.
Thereâs really not a lot you can do to counter trolls on pve or pve-c. Your probably doing the right thing by just trying to wait it out, hopefully the decay system will work in your favor.
But since they posted signs to extort payment from you, you could post some ânastyâ signs of your own, or build a bunch of ugly crap around their base. Fight fire with fire, so to speak. Iâm not really suggesting you do any of this since it will probably escalate things. Itâs just the devil on my shoulder made me type that.
I have lol as soon as they started, but its been escalated as as soon as then too, they went all out. Theyâre even blocking resources in the entire area, so its making a few other clans mad as well.
I think thier purge attacked me too, my purge hasnt happened yet, and some of their builds around me are damaged, i checked with the repair hammer, but mostly its mine thats damaged. But it could also be that they did exactly what q9c9p said and brought enrmies to my area to attack my stuff
Thats really going to suck, having to fight off someone elseâs purge, then deal with my own all while trying to avoid getting ganked

âŠyep, it was thier purge, I went and checked their base, some of it was damaged as well. This is horse crap that I can get attacked by thier damn purge.
So, now theyâre building a wall around my base topped with reinforced stone fences at the top, so that I cant climb in or out, and I cant do anything to stop it because they can build within 5 blocks of me, and I cant build within 20 blocks of them. I used to believe in karma, not anymore. And Funcom has refused to help. Ive been bullied before, but this is different, im an adult now, and being hopeless like this feels disgusting. Ive moved servers a lot, Ive spent a ton of time and effort into my base, this is just awful. Cant even get a refund, been on the game since it officially released, and havent even got to actually play it yet thanks to this crap happening all the damn time.
I am sorry to read all this, it just shows how little afterthought have been put into this system. In this case, I would strongly suggest you try and find a nice, relaxed, private server, where the players and their community are actually moderated. Iâve done this from day 1 and never looked back.
Ive already switched servers a lot for similar reasons, and put a ton of effort in building, I dont feel like doing that again, i want to keep and fight for what ive got, but itâs difficult when the bully has the advantage.
They really know how to work the system. They can build close to me while I cant build close to them. And I noticed one of their buildings on my side kept getting refreshed to 144 hours, I saw that they had a low level character in thier guild online, and that it was actually blocked up inside the building on my land, and moving once every 25 minutes, it does this for hours, then when it logs off, their main character shows up online.
When I first started I blocked off a cave that I didnât realize was a major passage (I realized it was a passage, just not the only easy passage ) Anyway, I played for a while and since we have no chat, no one said anything, but I started seeing people climbing around the base, etc⊠I immediately built a tunnel through the passage and put signs up to let everyone know the passage was open again. I donât realize why people canât stop being jerks and maybe even work together a little to make everyoneâs experience a little better.
