Please read FUN Suggestion. ( for Golems )

I am Not sure if this is the Right area for my Suggestion of what I would really like to see but here it goes… I made an account just to post this. I was thinking it would be a really great idea for the golems Even though they don’t harvest a lot. To after you put something in their inventory Harvest slots. They would seek and walk off into the world to harvest. They when not following Walk off into the world or areas assigned for certain types of Harvest and Come back to your base or their guard spot once they have a stack or two or Full inventory. of the materials. For people to like me work a lot and get to play maybe a few hours a day get a chance to have fun Building and crafting and have it more like your base is helping you ( or maybe make harvester thralls that would go out and harvest but still have to fight and defend them Selves if coming across something that would attack. do you can give them armor or a weapon. and Like a Golem tell them what you want them to gather

So, they can be workers for you on your server when your afk or offline. they run around and harvest for you… Help you by gathering stuff that you need but don’t have a lot of time to gather…

They could honestly make them much more effective. Each swing barely nets any resources on them. They could easily up Stone golem harvest rates 3x, Iron Golems 6x and Crystal 10x and even then having half a dozen out would not amount to much.

Even on Siptah where i struggle just a bit more to harvest large amounts of stone, wood and iron i find it wasteful to have them placed at resource hotspots i could harvest myself instead. I left them be for a week while working on my base nearby at one point and it was disappointing to say the least.

Also, due to how things are rendered they only gather resources when someone is near. They won’t be changing that i think. The only other thing i can think of is that they slowly generate any material you tell them to look for out of thin air, but that would be kind of silly.

no its like a Farm… Believe it I have a Iron farm makes iron for me but maybe only about 70 to 80 a day, but if they could harvest for you… ( it would help) i use to have 3 iron golems in Gods claw passage but yes they would only harvest once someone walks around and renders the Resources then nothing :frowning:

They should be allowed to Go out and fetch the stuff… i mean still have to fight things like hyenas or Rocknoses or anything they get close to or that attack them i mean

@Odoreater21 I love your idea and think it could really enhance the golem system in Conan Exiles. In fact, I recently posted a suggestion that’s somewhat similar, and I’d love your thoughts on how it could fit in with what you’re proposing.

My idea involves introducing Sorcerer Thralls Specializations to expand the depth of gameplay, particularly in managing magical aspects of settlements. One of the specializations I came up with is the [Thaumaturgist Scholar] – Master of Arcane Knowledge, which ties directly into your golem suggestion.

Here’s how it could work:
[Thaumaturgist Scholar] – Master of Arcane Knowledge

  • Role: This specialized scholar works not only on the Thaumaturgy Bench but also interacts with golems to gather materials and research new magical properties. When stationed at a golem crafting station, the Scholar can periodically send out golems to collect rare ingredients or research materials.

  • Key Features:

    • Golem Integration: The Scholar oversees golem creation and can command golems to venture out into the world to gather specific resources. These golems could return with rare materials essential for advancing magical research.
    • Artifact and Lore Collection: The Scholar can also process artifacts found throughout the world, unlocking deeper lore, new spells, and world events. This adds an extra layer of immersion and utility to your settlement.

I think this system would really fit with your idea of golems or even Harvester Thralls going out into the world to gather resources while you’re offline. Having them return with rare materials or special lore items could add a unique gameplay loop for players with limited time.

I’d love to hear your feedback on this system and any suggestions you might have. You can check out my full post here: Feedback on Living Settlement Server Options – Please Consider Optional Settings for Hardcore Survival Players.

I mean its a good idea… its been a few chapters Yet the Sorcerers only fit on one table and you cant use them in combat to Cast spells but yes Sounds like a Fun idea… I am a hardcore PVE. so finding thralls that can work as harvesters or golems to help add to the Living base idea to make it a real settlements or Fortress, base. by adding ways to allow it to help you once you get them Built up… not be like the hole base is lazy and your the only one working lol get there lazy ■■■■■ out and tell them t go get stuff… Hunting for food… logging areas or mining camps
or even allow your self to set up things like mining camps that can you can put thralls in and build it near iron or wood or stone areas and they keep harvesting it

And after that we can get thralls farming animals for us. After that we can get raiding parties to get rare loot for us. After after that it’s an idle game and you don’t need to play at all.

Sounds like a Good end goal…

If they are actually living beings, it would make sense that they would naturally do these things for survival. In a tribe or clan, people would naturally offer to help with tasks like gathering resources or farming animals, just as you would with a group of friends playing together on a server. My suggestions aim to enhance that middle-ground experience. Players would still need to go out and capture or knock out thralls and slaves for sacrifices. Thralls already work on benches—adding animations and tasks for gathering resources makes the world feel more alive and immersive.

Whether you play alone or with friends, having the option to delegate tasks to thralls or NPCs in your settlement brings depth to the game, especially for players like myself who want full immersion in a real tribe or clan environment. Having these options doesn’t take away from the gameplay; it enriches it by providing more flexibility and immersion.

Yes you and me Kalnazzar understand the Fully of PVE building a Base and making it thrive some don’t… I mean then would would be the Trouble for Knocking them our and bring them back Just to SIT ON THERE ASS and Not do anything to contribute to the Whole dominates the exiles. I mean there are 7 other factions that all done just that… they have outposts and main bases… Now its our turn… Anglinex sounds Like the player who don’t even get thralls Dose it all him self… Plays the hero and lives Lone ranger… you want thralls to help defend. to help craft and stand at the tables… still got to have them help you…

I’m a full on minion mancer. Max authority. ever use a weapon again after my first fighter is leveled. The issue is this isn’t “The Sims”. It’s not a middle ground, it’s just being lazy. If all you care about is building than go into creative and build.

While we’re at it lets add a betrayal/loyalty system. If you don’t take proper care of your thralls they kick you out of your own base. You lose ownership of everything you have built up to that point. The only way to get your stuff back is to build up from scratch and siege down what was once yours.

Your reward for taking proper care of them is that they don’t kick you out.

@Anglinex This is just a selfish and one-sided viewpoint. It’s like me saying I hate PvP, so they should remove it from the game just because I don’t enjoy it. My suggestions are geared towards expanding the Living Settlement system that the developers are already working on. If you don’t like that system, you don’t have to engage with it. Set it up so that your thralls aren’t doing tasks you don’t want them doing—that’s why I’m asking for options, so that all players can enjoy the game the way they prefer.

Honestly, if I had your attitude, I could just as easily tell you to go play another game if you don’t like the new systems being developed, but that’s not productive. Instead, I’m asking for more options to make the game accessible and enjoyable for everyone, not just a select group of players who prefer one playstyle. You can play your way, and I can play mine.

This would actually be a fun mechanic if you let thralls leave or betray you if their living conditions get too low. It would definitely add more challenge and realism to managing a settlement. I can totally get behind this idea—especially if you could fight the person who staged the coup to take over in a one-on-one fight to show dominance and reclaim control of your settlement. That would be a thrilling way to take back what’s yours and assert leadership, while still having consequences for neglecting your thralls.

There is absolutely no correlation to what you just said and anything I’m saying. PvP exists in the game. The game playing itself does not and it would be a terrible addition.

Maybe in another game. I hear “The Sims” is nice.

I like the new system. It adds life to the game. What it doesn’t add is the game playing itself.

The View point is Like ■■■■■■■■ and elbows we all have opinions, So @Kalnazzar you and I understand what it is being major PVE players and want to see a Living Addition to the game… and @Anglinex If you don’t like the idea of the post ignore it and spread your negativity else where if it was up to a vote. at the moment there’s more voting for then against on this post. so If you don’t like the idea. ignore this thread and post else where… I still think its a good idea so I made the suggestion. I still would like to see thralls be more then just lazy Base ornaments… so your opinion is noted… Have a good day… as for @Kalnazzar, I like the idea you said about adding more for the Sorcerers too!

This is already in the game. We have workbenches that automatically craft for the player without anyone being there, food that cooks itself at the station without a cook, and golems that gather materials out in the world. The concept of automated systems is already well-established in Conan Exiles—it’s just that most of them don’t involve human forms.

The developers even mentioned this system would be improved over time, and I’m looking forward to seeing how that evolves. My suggestions are aimed at expanding on what’s already there, not creating something new. Having NPCs carry out tasks instead of lifeless workstations adds to the immersion and makes much more sense within the game world.

What’s the real difference if it’s an NPC doing it instead of an empty workstation? It aligns better with the lore and makes the game feel more alive.

yup the whole point and case! Just also makes it so you can enjoy and do other things then non stop mine and be a lumberjack 24/7 you have Warriors… a True base needs workers as well… to help build we would still need to manage the stuff after they bring it back… We have farms that already generate stuff at a slow rate… just help have a thrall work it… like farms or mining camps or stuff to help… it adds to it all! ( its about feeling like all the hard work starting from scratch was not in vain… having something you built seeing it work and working for you… like any good thing would… you want it to thrive and help you to help it!

A difference of opinion and negativity are not the same thing.

Regarding the issue of golems only gathering resources when a player is nearby, I think there are two potential solutions that could fix this:

  1. Golem Expedition System: Instead of requiring constant player presence, golems could be sent on expeditions for a set amount of time. They would leave the base, gather resources, and then return with a full or partial inventory. There could even be a chance that the golem never comes back if it’s destroyed during the expedition—adding a risk vs. reward element to the system. This way, players wouldn’t have to babysit their golems, but there would still be consequences and management involved.
  2. Rendering Independence for Golems: Golems could be added to the list of entities that trigger an area to be active, much like how players do. In this system, the golems would work as their own entity, triggering resource generation in the environment even when the player isn’t nearby. The golems would move a set distance from the base (for example, crafting thralls currently have a 50-unit range, while golems could have a 100-unit range). This would allow them to gather resources realistically without breaking the immersion.

These options would make the system more dynamic and engaging while keeping it balanced.
