Pls ... let the thralls beeing thralls and not gods anymore

They should just make it so thralls can’t attack players and substitute other ways to have base defense over just spamming thralls to guard your base… thralls stay as they are rn, pvp will die out…

Yes… Nerf thralls and let the players try and kill the arena champion :joy:

Every1 wants thrall nerfs but seems to forget how tough some of the new dungeons are.

I support another damage reduction but not hp reductions.

You know what that tells me? Maybe dungeons need some tuning of their own. If bosses are so tough that they require godlike thralls to defeat them, then something is wrong with the bosses.

Thralls cant be considered god like if theres multiple NPC’s that can challenge them.

I dont believe theres anything wrong with boss’s, nor do NPC’s need nerfing in any situation.

Perhaps thrall damage vs players could be lowered. If anything…

Therein lies the problem. You have godlike thralls and godlike NPC’s to challenge them and even more godlike thralls to challenge those NPC’s, but where are you?

Oh that’s right. You carry their stuff and get in their way a lot in between not fighting the really tough enemies.

Which one of you was supposed to be the companion again?

PvP is really an important element of Conan, but not the only one. Even in PvP servers, direct combats are not the best choice for many players. There are players that like to build a strong and well protected base instead of get out and fight other players. And most of them use thralls as a defense resource. “PvP is getting boring” is just your opinion. If you see Conan only as a PvP game, yeah, it should seems boring. That exactly why you have to consider Conan as much more than a PvP game. Conan is not a game like Fortnite, that you have only one objective: kill other players and avoid being killed. Conan is an incredible game that gives you options, you can play it the way you want, from being a passive explorer (PvE, RP) to being a barbarian that just want to see blood (PvP, PvE-C). That’s why the “balance” on game is not to create good PvP combats, but to let each player have their resources to play the game the way they want. PvP players will never be 100% happy, as like PvE players will never be 100% happy. That’s why Funcom have to “balance” tha game, so PvP players and PvE players are 80% happy, and it’s exactly what Funcom has been done since game release.

The problem with that is it also effects NPC’s. There are three settings, but they don’t act separate as they should. As a private owner i tried. Only the Player is different on the sliders.

There is always a diferent visual on everything. Thank you for sharing yours. Having diferend opinions about the game it is not bad. You came to the point to insult me but it is not your bad , but mine. Thank you fot reading my post and answer to me :+1:

That’s your opinion. It sucks, and that’s not up for debate.

I was harsh, but my point was not to insult, but to point out a problem with survival games. Every survival game I have played, the official/vanilla servers are set up to make groups of people work together, if they want to be successful. I have played several survival games, and they are all like this. The hard coded part of this is that they make it such that one person cannot do it all. Now, i will admit that Conan is the most forgiving on this because you can drink a potion that is cheap to make, and now you can reset your skills to what you need. The most difficult was Atlas, because you had to take 250 gold to the Freeport, and buy a soup that reset your skills on the spot. Thus, if you were set up for gathering or crafting, and got raided, you were stuck with those crappy fighting skills. I always saw this as a failing of the game. It gives a huge advantage to the attacker. He will set up his skills for fighting, just before the raid, if they are not already set for fighting.

The second part, and this is what you were talking about, is that numbers give you an advantage in a fight. Even 3 level 35 players can defeat one lone level 60 player, unless they just don’t know how to fight. Been there, done that. Run around avoiding getting hit while friends rush to aid in the fight. Kill the guy, and take his stuff. He then begs to have his stuff back, even though he was the one who attacked.

The point is really just this…this game is hard enough in a PvP setting with a full crew that know what they are doing. We were the Alpha on a server, then went to play other combat games like Post Scriptum for a while. Then came back, and ended up on a server with a very active Alpha the same size as our clan. We had no chance. They would hit us every time we started to get somewhere. So we ended up in a never ending cycle of trying to get built up enough to challenge them, but would lose everything before we got that far. This is a major failing of this game. A solo has zero chance on an active PvP server. PvP-C is better, because at least losing a fight doesn’t mean losing everything. You don’t have to start over every time the Alpha clan targets you.

Seriously…what could you do as a solo player on a PvP server, if a clan of 5 people who know the game, come after your base? You base will be destroyed, and all those named crafting thralls will be taken, along with any rare resources. Common resources will be thrown on the ground to decay. Your fighting thralls are likely to be killed. If you are lucky, they won’t kill all of them. But you are back to trying to find a decent taskmaster, armorer, blacksmith, smelter, etc… If your companion was killed, you are back to trying to level up a new thrall.

It’s just the reality of the situation. Survival games reward time as much if not more than skill. Time is multiplied by the number of players you have in you clan. More players means more resources gathered, more thralls captured, etc…

PvE-C means you aren’t set back to factory settings if you lose a fight. At most, you lose what you had on you.

I ve told you that is is my bad because i wright down my messages from my sons cell phone, so i can’t analyze the way i play so beautifully as you do. When i gave the example of farming and facing unfair pvp fights, i was talking about private servers experiences i ve had. For me however the ‘Alfa’ in this game is the knowledge and the Beta is your friens - clan mates you make. I cannot see anything bigger and more important in this game than theese 2. I am from Greece and this game is not so famous here. I and up playing in French servers because of the low hour difference. At the begging i was playing solo and as you say it was impossible to raize up. Every 3 days i had to restart naked with stone tools. However i didn’t quit. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and in conan you just re spawn . I learned every single hideout that the game provides, every single spawn and loot that i could have, i ve watched hours of YouTube videos to learn as mush as possible for the game , not for raids, not at all, but for survival. Now you will ask me WHY PVP? Ok you play 2 weeks pve and you get everything and then? The same pve c. Pvp gives you a reason to continue playing, because no matter what, someone eventually will destroy you. I think you get the point here. So as i said before i end up playing in French servers, because the friends that i 've made were French. So slowly, but with really hard work, a lot of players learned - Bella, Farm & Build -. They all knew that they will find shelter in my residence. They will learn how to farm everything, everywhere. I fix several markets and museums to several private servers. All the admins saw me respect, and i am friend with all of them. But still i was playing solo. The bad luck of a server became the best luck of mine. They informed me that they close their server and wanted me as team mate. After all this wandering i was finally part of a family. I was in a clan, with persons i really like, farming non stop for them. Until yesterday predatory blade for me was another decorative :joy:. Now it’s a gift for my teammates. I still play and solo to several private servers but to my clan i give the biggest part of my free time. I never follow them to raids, because i don’t like it, but when we get attacked i am the repair boy. I insta repair every wall, door, foundation it is destroyed, making the raid impossible. Thats my conan view. This is the way i play conan.
