Poitain shield clipping problems

Old news, I know, but maybe folk don’t care so much about your character’s hand clipping through the front of the Poitain shield, but hell, I do, it’s my favorite shield… I wish more folk would complain; I mean, being a paid DLC and all. I wear it, but man, that never stops bothering me so very much; it’s got to be an easy fix, or not, I don’t know; the shield is large, this is mediocre and lazy at best =[.

An honest streamer made a couple of notations of the situation in his video review of the set. This may have successfully warned some people away preemptively.

Then again we have two things working against people making more adverse observations.

  1. Futility. The entire Bazaar is a Buyer Beware entity that has routinely rolled out buggy or incomplete products to which Funcom has had inconsistent responses.

  2. Expense. This is not an inexpensive set. The price point may have kept more people away from it.

The longer form…
The first two times the Aquilonian Bathroom set was offered, the latrine was not included. It appeared in the list of items, it appeared in the admin panel. But purchasing it did not allow one to use it. There were even a few posters here who attempted mental gymnastics to shout down those who redoubled their complaints when Funcom offered the pack a second time with the known bug still at large. And that’s not an isolated incident. It’s become the MO. At this interval, most of the people who post regularly here know the offerings from the Bazaar are going to be of entirely inconsistent quality and functionality.
Beyound this set being expensive, it’s also a little niche. Specifically a niche that not everyone sees as having much overlap with Conan or the Hyborian Age. The same eye rolls we got at the Zingaran Conquistador outfits are going to repeat for a fancy Knight in shiny armour joust set. While full scope of the Hyborian Age has elements from the Chalcolithic Age thru the Golden Age of Piracy, with two scoops of non-existium gluing them together, not everyone likes the full spectrum, or perhaps finds certain parts to be more fawned over than they deserve. Frog Helms (even if they didn’t have the clipping issues) may not be every barbarian’s idea of the premium fashion statement they want, especially if there is a perceived slight that Funcom is focusing on this corner rather than a preferred element.
Oh, and lance use in this game is an exercise in futility, successfully nerfed out of any level of viability.
