POLL for education: Would you like to see mods and modded items on the wiki? Let us know!

Yes, all the feedback is valuable nontheless !

The second paragraph goes better as a fourth (with/without this wording) imo. No offense.

Oh none taken. My posts are often stream-of-consciousness-like, and as a consequence a bit rambling in nature. The polar opposite of (and thus release valve for) creating technical documentation, which does take up some of my day job (gotta get those juniors coding and can’t keep them up to standard if I don’t specify one!)

Irrespective of @TheLOLxd2’s IMO, a phrase in interjection brings emphasis and tension to the mind of the reader. It helped me form the opinion that you, @Mikey do not wish to offend. Since message boards mimic free-form speech, I often prefer a hybridized method like this one.

I don’t use mods, but I know there are some pretty spicy ones out there. The inference is then that the wiki might become worse than NSFW, which is not something I could support.

There surely will be 2 chapters the people can choose: CE - Vanilla versus CE - Modded.
I don’t see any problem with a Wiki for Mods. I would help out to create such a Wiki. But with so many mods it will probably mean more work than the Vanilla Wiki.

I like the idea of a mod wiki and maybe with larger mods such as AoC or Emberlight give an item list or however you want to work it but most mods would probably be able to just have a description of what the mod does, say it changes the value of attributes, adds feat points, etc. Or if its designed for an RP, pvp or pve server. It would be beneficial as well to add the steam workshop link to the mods page

Clarification intensifies :s5:
Look at the thread now! I blame entropy.

I know the wiki isn’t official.

But unless a specific Mod is officially supported Funcom, it shouldn’t be a part of the wiki.
That said, a page on the wiki discussing mods in general and where to find them is welcome.

It’s the officially supported, unofficially made wiki, basically. Notice the Official wiki logo at the top of the page?
The developers help out with making the wiki and promoting it as they see fit. They may also help contributing to it, but this doesn’t happen too often.

When the Devs start paying you and the wiki team a monthly salary (and not just in DLC’s) for maintaining the wiki, then I’ll consider it official. :stuck_out_tongue:
